Don't worry guys, it's just chords and singing. What could possibly go wrong?

Re: September (pre-fight)
Was running on the beach. Got the chorus vox and some of the background vox parts down, and about twice as much as I used for verses. Wrote it all down, but barely notated the chorus melody. A few hours later, went back and couldn't remember it. And couldn't decipher my notation, either. Fortunatel...

Re: CD Baby Free
Another great thing about Bandcamp is that you can set it up to be your main page if people go to your personal URL. This is super handy if you're not great at making websites.

I'm not an art student or a TV, I'm a broom. And I agree as well.

Re: Zen question
Thanks Kevin. Good heavens, if "commercial release" quality is your hurdle in mind, then really, how many songs here, acoustic or otherwise, would be considered demos? Perhaps the "demo" label is not particularly useful as a descriptive element in the review process? Just a thou...

Re: Zen question
IMO if the artist is just recording a rough version of their song then it's a demo. But if they spend the time to figure out the best mic placements, get the best takes, edit the tracks to clean them up, mix the song so it sounds good on a wide variety of speakers, and polish it with a little master...

Re: Drumming up a storm
Drums are my main deal, and I like using Addictive Drums with my electric kit. It gives me a lot of flexibility and I don't make so much noise in my apartment. I would say this route is the easiest, but it is very dependent on how well you can play drums.

Re: Stuck in a Box!!!
Kevin, I have looked at Guitar Rig myself and was intrigued. I'm curious if you consider them on par with other amp simulators, or better and definitely worth the extra dollars. Some free amp simulator plugins I have downloaded sounded worse than the native ones in Mixcraft, like they were underwat...

Re: Cover-a-Fight?
I like the idea, but I also like what Chips said- maybe if in a fight everyone who participated has to do a cover of someone else's entry? That would make it much more manageable and would include more people.

Re: Stuck in a Box!!!
I say guitar sims are awesome! Mainly because there's no way I would be able to get away with cranking a real amp in my apartment, but the best part about sims is how flexible they are. If you record with one amp that sounds good at the time, but need to switch the head or add a distortion pedal, ba...

Re: Stuck in a Box!!!
I'm no expert, but I can tell you "boxiness" is not an EQ problem. It's the way the sound is reflecting off your walls, and you can't just "carve it out" with an EQ plugin. You see microphones aren't very smart. Us humans have brains that allow us to filter out extraneous noises ...

I think we have a winner! This is fantastic! Thank you very much!!! This comment made my week :D Living up to your name on a nice mellow track. Hehe, I got a reputation to keep. I dig the sound. I really like the chord change that happens around 40 seconds in. The music really matches the traveling...

Re: Unpack your reviews (suitcase)
Hey guys, wow what a turnout! Here are my reviews. Just-a-so-you-know, I’m listening to your songs through good, but not fancy, headphones. Airlines The guitar seems to be moving around. I really like the lick in the chorus. I think there are a few too many pauses in the verse. The vocals sound a li...
