Re: A parade, or a marathon?! (A Grand Parade reviews)
It has been a while I will do haiku reviews My first impressions Abjure! : Pleasant harmonies Not that much profanity Mildly suggestive Abominominous : Bring the rock, good sir Is there a bass in this song? ...And Justice For All Add : Great as expected Grand fucking parade, indeed! Re: A parade, or a marathon?! (A Grand Parade reviews)
Listening to the songs as I work my second job, and I am absolutely loving the Hostess Mostess submission. Surprising no one. Gorgeous melody.
I will almost assuredly review the other songs, but that one stood out for sure.
Add is also stellar as always.

A Grand Parade The Def Author Back in my formative years, I guess you could say I wasn't exactly the envy of my peers In fact, when it came to my identity it's accurate to say I was more of a non-entity Not seen, not heard, not felt But reasonably good at entertaining myself And it can't be helped, ...

Great Mimes I Could Do This All Day (Case/Hawkins) I could do this all day long And never lose my place I could do this all day long And just stare at your smiling face I suppose I could exert myself Although it might be a waste of breath And there's no real harm in keeping things up 'Cause I'm not ...

Re: Glenn Case - Be Somebody Else
Thanks, Sam!
For the record - I did have some help from Songfighters this time.
Sam Douglass played lead guitar and the solo for "Love Your Soul"
Mo Ouyang with solos on "Think Fast" and "That's Not Who I Am"
Rachael Layne with vocals on "For a While"

Glenn Case - Be Somebody Else
Hi there! Been a hot minute! What have I been up to? Well, I have released a few albums, and won $10,000 from Cards Against Humanity for writing and recording their favorite "Everybody Loves Chowder" song on Black Friday, 2021. I suppose I could have made a separate thread for that. Oh wel...

Re: sonofgearfight #1: "These are the Jokes"
I've been combing through the somesongs archives looking through Blue's reviews, and there are some zingers in there. So, I'm picking some classic Blue Lang reviews to include here. Heid Classic Blue Lang review that fits: "this is a pretty song. i like it." My thoughts: Good vocal. Percus...

Re: Goodbye Blue Lang
Dennis! We have never communicated, but I am a huge fan of your band! I backed up everything that Blue had on Songhole before it went away, so I have an enormous archive of sonofsupercar mp3s if you're interested. This includes rehearsals, and everything else that was on Songhole. It's a lot. Hundre...

Re: Goodbye Blue Lang
And for the record- I am absolutely planning to put together a tribute to Blue Lang similar to what I threw together for Seth Gibbs.
But if anyone has Blue Lang stories that they wouldn't mind sharing? I'm going to start setting up Zoom sessions in the near future.

Re: Goodbye Blue Lang
Thanks for sharing; I was definitely curious but didn't want to ask. Stomach cancer is what got Seth Gibbs, and those cancers are very hard to detect and even if you do catch them early they're still tough to treat. You're welcome and thank you. And you're exactly right. Hard to detect, and tough t...

Re: Goodbye Blue Lang
I got confirmation from Amber Lang that it was okay to share this:
"He was being tested for stomach or pancreatic cancer - he passed quietly in his sleep on Saturday . No one knew he was sick like this ."

I seriously don't have the words. He was a pillar to this community. He was a wonderful guy. Great drummer. I was fortunate to know him, as were any of us who ever got to know him. Getting a positive review from him was a rush. Having a difficult time processing that he is actually gone. Life is fle...

Ah cool, 3 new songs! Nice. I haven't had a chance to listen to them all yet, I really like "The Cosmos Lounge" though. Both your recent albums are in the homepage song news now. Thank you so much for doing that! "The Cosmos Lounge" is one of my favorites from the Agony Sauce al...

Re: Agony Sauce - Agony Sauce
Thanks! We definitely changed some of the voice samples to avoid potential legal repercussions. We were able to keep the vocal sample on "No Memory" because that's Mo singing.

Cool! I'll add this and your album to the homepage when I get a chance. What's the story behind the two non-Nur Ein songs? Thank you kindly! I think we have a total of 3 songs on here that were not Nur Ein songs. We dropped "You Too" from the album to avoid potential legal ramifications f...

A Year of Mondays
Didn't think I had another Glenn Case album in me this year, but I did. Releasing it today might not be the smartest move, but I'm doing it anyway. This year has felt like "A Year of Mondays". Stay safe, and sane today, folks. Cheers. https://glenncase.bandcamp.com/album/a-year-of-mondays

Here is how I edit my No Fake Friday videos.
