Re: Nur Ein VII - Breaking the Ice
It's the world all around that's so unkind The pressures on and even I did fine Chorus Now you're gone to LA you're a million miles away so how could we even try to break the ice? It was me who let it lapse and go cold And now this loud badass has just grown old Chorus Bridge We're all shouting now ...

Re: Write It Up (Beat Me Up Reviews)
 Cookie monster: If you made an album, this song would precede a rowdy rocker. You have an undeniable style, there's something distinctive about your work. The autotuned vocals are a trademark, and a good one at that. Some try to use it like you do and cant pull it off. I always note the subt...

CR: I live in the "Southwest", and this does sound like the stereotypical hollywood "Southwestern" sound but not like any clubs around here. However, it also has a latin feel more at home in the gulf, or keys - anyway, over there. Its really good - production, bass, especially th...

Re: All Kinds of Opinions (...sorrow reviews)
I am only voting for songs that remind me of the Monkees. I don't care if your song is good or not, I only care if it sounds remotely like Davy, Micky, Mike, Peter, and all those studio musicians. My rule this round: if I don't hear enough Monkees, I ain't voting for it. Furthermore, my feedback is...

Re: all kinds of sorrow
Face buried down in my hands
Tears streamin' down from my face
She's all kinds of sorrow
but maybe tomorrow …
It ain't goin' away
why'd I need her today
She's all kinds of sorrow
but maybe tomorrow …
Chased my woman away
I shouldn't be so ashamed
She's all kinds of sorrow
but maybe tomorrow …

Re: It always gets better once there is a review thread
>Do you mean the rhythm guitar is dissonant?
its that repeating up and down scalar clean guitar/mandolin. the scale is minor or mixolodian or something, and just kind of carries a dread feeling with it. its not ABBA or Little River Bandish, thank you for that though!!

Re: It always gets better once there is a review thread
CC: I really like the dreamy feel to this as the vocals seem to meld with the music. Short and sweet, I do wish it was easier to distinguish the segments of the song (verse/chorus) from each other. It sounds like a harp is in there – nice touch, you don’t hear one every day. RS: Different. Not sure ...

Didn't sound to me like he was accusing you of anything, rather that a piece of melody sounded like another song. Or maybe he meant the mix sounded like that part was for another song and didn't blend. Yeah, JB is spot on with what I was trying to say. i certainly wouldn't intend to accidentally im...

well, it's lucky i'm not saying that, then, is it? :) I fervently accept criticism of my work - good and bad - as it does stay in the back of my mind during future endeavors. However, I work very hard on my material and if it doesn't meet up with the bar you set, that's fine. Just realize that ever...

Sausage – I am not sure whether this is utter rubbish or utter genius. *gets out comparision list* Sparse instrumentation? Check. Monastic vocals which appear to be mixed in from another song? Check. Melody that reminds me of a slowed down version of something else? Check. Solo just when I’m hoping...

If there was something that would even out the good from the bad vibes, I would refuse to accept it and continue listening to everything the way it is. There is no bad or good, just different tastes taken with grains of salt. Enough equivocating, here's my take... RD: You know, when I hear a song ab...

Re: Ctrl+X ("Cut It Out" reviews)
heine - this is a raw demo, i know that. but it begs for just a bit more production. especially the chorus "cut it out", just a little doubled vocal or reverb. in the bridge, how about some high harmonies? I really really like this - but because it is SOOOO close to being complete, I was l...
