Re: And all I got was this lousy jumpsuit (Back From Juvie)

Pigfarmer Jr - I thought you were Ross Durand for the first couple of syllables. Good energy and sincere delivery although some of it feels too serious, and might make the threatened party roll their eyes a bit. I hit repeat as soon as the song was done and noticed how the tempo had picked up durin...

Pigfarmer Jr -- 12/15 C:3 L:* (not rated; post your lyrics next time to change that) F:3 P:2 (you occasionally stumble over the lyrics. I have this feeling that the BPM keeps changing.) M:2 (I'm not entirely sure about this, but isn't that guitar extremely twangy? Or whatever you call it. Anyway, l...

Re: Back From Juvie

I didn't know you were suppose to post lyrics... Back From Juvie - Pigfarmer Jr You thought that I was gone for good But you must have misunderstood I only got a year, I was only sixteen And now I’m back out here on the scene And now I’m out here looking for you Plotting my revenge, what I’m gonna d...

Re: And all I got was this lousy jumpsuit (Back From Juvie)

The track seems a bit too midi for my taste. 'kay......only thing programmed here was the drums, so I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. My main concern about my playing on this one is how sloppy my timing tends to be. MIDI tracks tend to be pretty precise so....thank you, I guess? Would ...

Re: Who's it going to be this week? (Spin the Bottle prefight)

I have an idea already, a nice verse melody and two lines and a possible chorus/bridge structure. I'm having a problem tying in a thematic lyric. But it looks like it's a go.

Good news, it's electric so I'll do a proper recording for this my second entry.

Re: And all I got was this lousy jumpsuit (Back From Juvie)

After the first listen through these are my thoughts. Night Elf Mohawk – Vox reminds me of Buddy Guy, is my favorite part of the song. The track seems a bit too midi for my taste. Manhattan Glutton – The melody suits the vox very well, especially at the beginning (the lower part.) I liked the chorus...

Re: Time off for good behavior (pre-fight)

I probably should have done up a better demo, but I just wanted to get it done and the song seem suited. You know you still could have worked on it for nearly a week... right? From your description I already can't wait. Yeah, you make a good point. However, the song really does seem to be suited to...

Re: Time off for good behavior (pre-fight)

I've been checking in to songfight for a while and finally wrote a song to the title this past week. I did a little acoustic/vox quick recording and sent in my first songfight submission. I probably should have done up a better demo, but I just wanted to get it done and the song seem suited. So I'm ...
