I'm not complaining about this, but the link to Flvxxvm Florvm's cover of "me" doesn't work. And also, it's not actually a cover of me ... I think it's a cover of Ken.

PS ... I love S Durand's cover of Bjam. That song was a perfect match.

yeah, looks good to me. the mozilla "view source" did a good job of pointing out the problem since it colors text differently if it's in quotes or whatever.

Okay, so I've been here at Songfight for several years and one person I have a lot interaction with is Jim of Seattle. We get along pretty well in our conversations. But there's always one thing- I usually tell Jim how much I hate his music. And then he forgets until the next time I tell him. You can look through the forum and you can see some of this, it's very funny. But the truth is I don't hate Jim's music, never have. We do have differing views on some songs but it's never been hate. And hes' always known that I respect him greatly as a music, and as Songfight's answer to Buch Bacharach. So see that Jim covered WTF immediately made me chuckle. Then when I heard the song, I was dumbstruck by just how beautiful it was. You did an incredible job, Jim. Thank you.

Ross Durand -

Wow, man. That is phenomenal!! I am really impressed. I've been dying to hear one of my songs with a full arrangement like that, and I really like what you did with it. I used to think that the version of my 'Bullseye Girl' that I recorded for the Cover Yourself coverfight was pretty hot shit, but you totally outdid me. Bravo!

I would be remiss if I didn't say I went into this project with a whole lot of trepidation. Both sides of it made me wary. Who would I draw? Who would draw me and what song would they get? What would they do to that song?

Well I was pleasantly surprised to draw Jim Tyrrell and his "I Don't Want To Be Your Friend" to cover. I have a lot of respect for Jim and like his tunes a lot. Because of my own admiration and that of another SongFighter, it was easy to recruit the instrumentation I needed to make his cover song a reality.

But then there was the other half. Who drew me and what song? I have waited along with the rest of you patiently to find out. Imagine my surprise to find out it was Mogosagatai. I think Ken in his infinite building bridges manner made an excellent selection. I was nervous at first to listen to the song because I've had some cross words with Mogosagatai. I'm so glad that he didn't let that distract him from the completion of this project. Beyond that he did a very interesting interpretation of the song that has me smiling big time. I am humbled and amazed at the level of professionalism on the part of Mogosagatai to overlook our past differences and present to me a very unexpected gift.

Thanks Ken, Mogosagatai, and everyone else involved in this project for making it happen. Very cool.

And I now have been officially Phunted. (It says so right on my player)

Glenn, you are too much. That was a hilariously great cover. I didn't hear all of the ending because I was laughing too hard. You totally nailed the ending too. *plays air drums*. Thanks sir! This is a daymaker. Hahahahah... man.

Thanks, man. It was really fun to do! I don't know if you experienced this, too, but I feel more pressure doing someone else's tune than my own, so I'm relieved and complimented that you're happy with it.
