Demographic Check

Post by Spud »

Hey, this might be vaguely useful. Sometime people in the press ask us for this kind of data.

it's the trivia junkie in me, but this is fascinating. oddly enough, since this is such a community of iconoclasts, it appears right now that the folks at neilsen would be drooling for this audience: they "key" 19-49 year-old demographic is pretty dominant here.

now, why such a wide and vague demographic should have any meaning is really beyond me. and that people between 20-35 especially are the largest part of a web-site community isn't surprising at all, really, especially songfight, which requires a degree of musical talent and critical thinking.

still, cool. it'll be nice to see when more than 19 people have voted.

Yes, evidently something about SongFight turns off 17 & 18 year olds :)

It's probably the high number of not-very-interesting polls. :)

I don't know what to click. Technically, I'm 35, but I'll be 36 tomorrow. Should I just wait till tomorrow to vote?*

eh, that was a joke because at the time 17-18 was the only unrepresented age group.

I have a "friend" who can be immature at times. Does that count as young?

Because, you know, my....uh...."friend" isn't really sure what bracket he should have selected.

Happy (Belated) Birthday Sven!

Also: I'll be 37 in April. Wait, is that right? I was born in '69, so... yeah, I think that's it. The mind starts to go, y'know.
