thanks,

Annnnd my wildest dreams have come true. One of my big songfight regrets was never seeing sos perform live. Now I will see them. Ecstatic doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about this.

Due to financial difficulties, we're going to have to downgrade my wife's status from "yes" to "no," and my status from "yes" to "maybe."

I swear this doesn't have anything to do with this. I just figured it would be rude if my absence included failing to show up when I'd RSVP'd to this event. Given my non-commitment, if I show up, it'll be as a spectator only; I won't demand performance time. If you'd like me to play in your set, contact me via e-mail (jon [at] jon-eric [dot] com), but do so at your own peril, as I might not be able to find the money.

Sorry, guys.

Ah man, Jon. That sucks! You put on an awesome set last year in New York.

However, I totally understand about money woes. Hope things look up, soon.

Put me down as a maybe. I need to consider what/how I would perform and if I can set aside the time in July to do it right.

I will be there from Monday thru Monday. I am pursuing leads for local friends on whose spare beds I can sleep, but it is sounding more like I'm going to just have to spend some money.

I will arrive there LATE Wednesday night and leave LATE Sunday. Hooray for red-eyes! Still nailing down where I'm staying, but that should solidify in the next 24 hours.

I think it's time for another ROLL CALL!!!
Also, I don't seem to see a gear thread either. It's just 6 weeks away folks, where's the SFL buzzzzzz?
Sam (Lunkhead) and myself ( If you don't know who I am, I am the other half of Merisan, member of BSS, Tiny Robots, and for you old-timers, Loyalty Day) are there 7/11-16. We are flying in, so we wont have much (if any) gear other than a mini tambo, some shakers, and maybe a uke.
I don't know about you, but I am pretty darn excited about SFL! I love seeing you guys!
Who's in?
Eeep-opp-orp-opp-opp...that means I love you!

I am really really excited. I love Seattle, I have lots of great friends there both of the Song Fight! and non-Song Fight! variety, and I haven't been there in years. So just going there to see the townies would be great. Seeing everybody from around the country IRL again too, and then also Song Fight! Live itself too, oh man, it's going to be awesome.

I will be there. I have my vacation time and plane tickets booked, and I will be there from Monday thru Monday (9th thru 16th). I do not yet have lodging taken care of.

Gear-wise I will be keeping it light this time. I might bring the Korg Wavedrum because everyone was so goddamn excited about it when I bought it, and I'll probably bring the parts to the spare guitar stand so Spud can get the screws that it needs to be assembled. I will also bring some kazoos, as usual. Other than that I can't see myself bothering to pack a lot of crap that nobody ends up using. (So of course this will be the one year that people are all WHERE IS YOUR VIOLIN I NEED IT!!! or whatever.)

What guitars will be available locally, though? If we're desperate I could always bring my Squier since I have a flight case for it and don't care too much if it gets damaged, although that's obviously really scraping the bottom of the barrel if we end up that hard-up for something to play.

Also, Spud, do you still have the Nord Lead? I'll probably want to use it.

Wait, so you won't be bringing the SID Station or Fred or whatever you call it? Come on, man. I was going to use that this year.

Oh, hey songfight. I haven't posted or lurked in (what is apparently) four years, though I used to be pretty active on somesongs. Through a series of events in the RL completely unrelated to songfight, I became acquainted with jefff. I've since moved to Seattle and he's since tweeted at me about this happening.

In any event, I saw some mention of gear. I'm more than happy to throw mine out for use for the duration:

- Drum Kit
- Bass amp (Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master + 2x12)
- Wurlitzer
- Standard Fender Tele (Mexican)
