4/26/17 The Psychedelic Furs

Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

4/26/17 The Psychedelic Furs

Post by noma »

I remember how this was started by Niveous in 2015. :)
My Nur Ein XII entry for "After You" (round one) was favorably compared to the Psychedelic Furs (thanks for the compliment!), which made me search this forum; but I did not find any thread on that band. So I figured I'd just start one myself.

What is your favorite Psychedelic Furs song?
Mine is, most probably, "Sister Europe".

Mine is the Ghost in You, but that's because of Robyn Hitchcock's cover of it. My wife will say Pretty in Pink, and she has opinions about which version.

Embarrassingly enough, mine is Heartbeat Break since it was all over the radio in 1987 during a particularly magical time in my life. My wife will also say Pretty in Pink.

Hmm, this thread says I should listen to some of their songs. I don't remember much of them any more.

Ok, I'm ready to say "Sister Europe" is pretty great even if it does start out sounding a lot like the Sisters of Mercy's cover of "Emma".

"Love My Way" and "Heaven" were my favorites. I'm listening to "Sister Europe" right now, and I don't remember it at all.
