Review A Little Bit More (Love Me reviews)

I have a feeling, even with one line reviews, this is going to be a very long thread...

This is going to be a fun to listen to group of songs. Those that are bitter about love, those that are in love and those that just want to be loved. Future trivia answer: LMALBM is the first time I'm in two collabs in the same fight. I figure sooner or later someone will make the Song Fight board game.

Actually, the pattern tends to show that the more songs there are in a fight, the shorter the review thread is. :P

Right. Let's take a look at Punctuation Island versus Thank God For Memphis.

Six degrees of Billy's little trip?

With all of the people you've played with, will it count if you play with yourself?

Anyone know what the record for most entries is for a single title?

Nope. "We Were Not Meant to Be," with 41.

Touché.

Nonetheless, at least back in the day when I was hanging around and submitting multiple songs every week, I noticed a sweet spot somewhere between ten a fifteen songs in a fight, where it was just big enough that, in addition to most of the fighters reviewing, it attracted some people who weren't in the fight to review as well. If the fight had too many entries, it discouraged some people from listening to the whole thing to review it.

Plus, come on. I know "Thank God for Memphis" was a huge fight, but of all the big fight examples, you had to pull out the one with the flame war?

To be fair, even though I qualified it with a reference to one line reviews, I said it might be a long thread, not necessarily one with many reviews. I'm sure there will be plenty flames to go around (I'm looking at you, Oats.)

Bearing that in mind, I conceded the point entirely.

Especially given how long the thread is getting already, and the songs aren't even up!
Happy reviewing, everyone!

wwnmtb was cross promoted with some web comic and tgfm was combined with a live fight. these large fights, though, usually get people complaining about not being able to review all the songs. still, the average fight for the last two years (if you sum the entries for two title fights) is right around 23-24 songs per deadline. this takes into account cross promoted fights and double titles. i personally don't mind large fights, because a small fight always seems to be right around the corner.

Well, single people have plenty of time to devote to songfighting and such.

I like large fights...right now. I might even review this one.

I've always heard size didn't matter.

Besides so far we have no actual evidence that this will be a big fight.
