I've written a song for this, but I fly to the States on a business trip on Wednesday so I may a) enter a g'n'g song b) record it g'n'g and send it out for arrangement in my absence c) not bother (most likely)

Excellent - I will hopefully get something recorded tonight and mail it across to you both before I fly tomorrow. no promises - I recorded it last night but I haven't quite got the hang of the new software yet so there were latency issues. Will try again ce soir.

I got all high concept and then it fizzled out and now the next couple days are spoken for.

I still have quite a bit to do tonight (and maybe tomorrow morning) but I should get it in! It'll be my 5th submission. I'm setting myself a goal of 25 straight (without missing a week.)

Sat down to write a song, looked here for a title to find I was at the end of the rotation. Perhaps I will save the 4 notes I had working for something else and start fresh when the new title is announced.

If you are dirty stinking egg-sucking cheat you will. Those 4 notes HAVE NOT been inspired by the yet to be announced title. Find another 4. There must be at least - I dunno - 10 or something to choose from.
