Before anyone looks too deeply into the free Pro Tools, these are the most important limitations:

- maximum 4 input channels
- maximum 16 tracks/instruments
- no local saving of projects, only cloud saving, limited to 1 GB
- no revision history
- no track commit/bounce (freeze is supported)
- no input monitoring
- Friendly reminder: Pro Tools does not support VST plugins!

Today's deal is the Saucy Box overdrive pedal for $69, down from $130!

https://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid

They had this same deal a couple months back and I bought the pedal and I think it sounds awesome in general and it sounds especially awesome at that price. I've been using this on my guitar tracks on the last 5-10 BSS songs and loving it. With this PLUS my Rat pedal I get some searing face melting lead tones (which I've also used in BSS songs lately).

I was sucked into the sauce yesterday... hope it's as groovy as everyone says it is... I had also grabbed the Supro Fuzz a few days earlier as well... waiting for them to arrive so that I can stack them.

I saw this review and was gonna check it out when I got home but by that time it was past bedtime and I was sleepy tired and.... well, I missed it. I do like a good overdrive, though.

Ooh. I almost ordered that Supro Fuzz. I bet that's going to be a really hot pairing. I'd love to hear some demos of the two stacked when you get that set up.

There have been and still are a lot of very tempting software deals out there this weekend. Arturia is offering their "V Collection 6" software keyboard library for 50% off, $249 instead of $499. I feel my hand reaching for my wallet .... aaarrggggh:

Oops I posted this to the wrong thread originally but Native Instruments is still having their extended Thanksgiving sale. 50% off pretty much every individual plugin. (Unfortunately this doesn't include KOMPLETE this year like it did last year.)

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p ... ving-2018/

I picked up both Session Guitarists and Session Strings Pro 2, and they're really good upgrades from the versions included in KOMPLETE 11. I played with them all a bunch on my stream last night: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/340873415

I'll see what I can do in the coming week or so... I might have some time to do that. I'm not a very good guitar player... but sound wise should be able to give you an idea of how they sound. I'm unsure of how I feel about the Supro Fuzz (or my EHX Germanium Fuzz for that matter) and I might just not be a "Fuzz guy"... I really love my Mooer Black Secret "Rat" clone... so maybe I'm a distortion guy and not a fuzz guy... that said the Supro Fuzz with the Sauce Box sounds better to me through my little Mesa Clone's clean channel than the Mesa's own Dirty channel playing Metallica riffs... so... I don't know. I love just playing with different pedal combos to see what happens. Hopefully I can get you a little demo soon.

I just played with these for the first time last night and immediately had a lot of fun with it and made something I think is cool! So far I've only tried the Farfisa, Jupiter 8, and Minimoog, but they all sounded amazing, AND they all have a TON of presets to explore too. The 50% off deal is still going, if you want a big pile of synths and keys with a ton of configuration options and effects and presets, and you've got $250, I'd highly recommend it.

Sorry for the poor quality... this was my first ever low budget gear demo... ha! It should hopefully give you some idea of what it sounds like, even if it's not the best quality. Let me know and I'll spend some time hooking this up to my Audio Interface if you want better quality. This was just easier for me to setup. Edit: Also just for fun... my Catalinbread Sabbra Cadabra pedal in the same setup...

Edit 2: Here is a higher quality video with good audio for better comparison. :) Enjoy.

Today's stupid deal is a very good sounding overdrive pedal discounted from $60 from $130 to $70:

https://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifi ... 8000000000

It's the MXR Custom Shop Il Diavolo Overdrive. Here's a thorough demo from Andy at Pro Guitar Shop:

I almost bit... I don't have any "legit" MXR pedals... but it sounded like every other OD pedal I already own and don't use... so I passed. Maybe next time... ;)

I'm tempted by today's deal. $1000 off a pretty sweet Martin acoustic-electric. I guess it's a 2016 model, so they're probably trying to clear out inventory or something. Down from $2900 to $1900.

Free: Convology XT - an Impulse Response convolution reverb.

http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?pl ... t7loMAzMR4

The Free Factory plugin includes 70 vintage Impulse Response Files from the Convology XT Library. There are no time limitations, iLok or frustrating unlocking hoops to jump through. Simply fill in the information on the licensing page and that's all there is to it.

Everything you’d expect from a world class plugin and more – Zero latency, Scale functions of Stretch and Decay, EQ, PreDelay, Stereo 3D Chorusing (can either emulate early DSP gear, or be applied to vocals and instruments) Stereo Width from Mono to "Outside your speakers", Reverse and more. Yet the most outstanding feature of this plugin is the ease of use when dialing in a particular sound. Just click on any section of the library, then click on the unit and file and you’re there.
