So I have learned recently that a microphone that sounds awesome for one person may sound like total crap for another person. Human Voices are just way too different and quirky for there to be any one "best" mic. The unanymous answer I'm getting from the internet is that you have to try a lot of mics to find the right one for your voice. But, if you're like me, you either don't have access to a lot of mics, or can't afford to just mail order them and hope for the best.
So here's a site I found with the same clip recorded on a bunch of different mics, so you can hear the difference.
If anybody else finds any cool articles/tools for choosing a mic, please add it to this thread.

Re: microphone choosing tools
Years ago when my band recorded at a pro studio, the engineer had around 10 different vocal mics in a glass case. He'd ask me to sing a few bars of the national anthem and then set up 3 or 4 mics in the booth. Then had me do a verse from a song we're working on into each mic. He'd go in and take all but one mic out of the booth and put that mic in our file. He did that for all of us.

wow, that looks like an awesome find Ken, it's a cryin shame I can't seem to get it to work over our internet connection. How long would it take the clip to buffer you ask? SEVEN FREAKIN DAYS.
