Getting ready to submit our entry.

I am smiling very wide right now, because I think this might be one of my favorite songs that I have ever taken a part in writing. Possibly the second best Glenn and Rachael song behind Need Stilts. We'll see if the judges agree, but I can't stop listening to it.

ROCK!

Cubase crashed, and I lost the last four hours of work (basically ALL my work) because I'm too stupid to save. Since all the audio files should be saved, I could piece it back together in a new project, but I have to go to my day job now. Ces la vie! Maybe next year.

I'll record a g'n'g demo of my song later, and post it in the thread.

Good luck in the rest of the competition everybody!

I just mailed it in. It's a whale, alright: blubberous. Although I believe in rules and all that, I won't protest if JB is allowed to come up with a Gn'G thingy or something. Him too good to miss out on.

As far as I can tell this is largely a songfight term - it is synonymous with "Solo acoustic."

Not to be a bastard - but I think we should stick with the rules. Part of the Ein! to me has always been that it's hardcore time frame. I won't complain, but those are my two bits.

Yes, I think you should too. I was only half-kidding about the extension, and would not expect one, and am not disappointed that there isn't one.

Yeah, you guys are right about the deadline. I was just thinking of BLT and how suckful it is to have an equipment meltdown. Still sorry you had to bail though, JB.

UJN - Sorry about that Gn'G thing, I'm sure that I picked the term up here and scratched my head when I first saw it.

Ross - Way off topic here, but I was thinking of you when I saw these. I know their compressors are highly regarded. http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/msg/716540915.html OK, back on track. Nur Ein!!!!!

JB, I feel for you in regards to the Cubase crash. I've had that happen to me with days of work. It somehow deleted everything I had recorded on my hard drive, even though I had it saved. That feeling of starting all over from the beginning really sucks. Especially if there is no time to meet the deadline.

So, officially that means you were out on round 4 like me. Woo Hoo, high five....
