Re: Currently Playing ...
I just played through Jumpman, a fun indie platformer combining Atari-retro graphics with some modern physics and controls (like being able to rotate the level). It's a fun way to kill 45-60 minutes, available free for Mac and Windows.

Re: Currently Playing ...
Huh. From the name I thought it'd just be yet another remake of Jumpman, which I am something of a fan of, but that looks like it's a completely new game. Interesting!

Man, I just wasted a whole hour on that thing. Thanks, Lunk.
ps - Did you try the level editor in that game?? It's awesome! I just wasted another hour. And I have a paper to write.

Re: Currently Playing ...
I just bought a bunch of them there Vidia Gaymes last night... including Samurai Showdown Anthology (PS2), Mirrors Edge (Xbox 360), Battle Fantasia (Xbox 360), Mercenaries 2 (Xbox 360), Fable 2 (Xbox 360), Bleach: Dark Souls (DS), Obscure: The Aftermath (Wii) & Steel Battalion: Line of Contact (Xbox) all for around $100 U.S. Pesos... not too shabby. So I have plenty of gaming ahead of me.

Re: Currently Playing ...
Ah, if you're giving a list of recent buys, I might as well too.
(all for PS2)
Twisted Metal: Black
Metal Gear Solid 2
Bully
God of War II
The Simpsons Game
Final Fantasy XII
That's a total of 60 bucks, and it'll take me longer than all summer to beat them. Good buy, I guess.
I also bought 3 seasons of south park, which I have gotten great use out of during my colyte drinking days.

Re: Currently Playing ...
I bought Tekken 5 to prepare for Tekken 6 this fall. Had alot of fun unlocking everyone's endings. Going through the Devil Within mini game which is tedious (but gives you a million in-game bucks for completing).
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style.

Re: Currently Playing ...
So after throwing my Wiimote at the TV frustrated with Rolling around in Super Mario Galaxy... I decided I'd play my Xbox 360 instead... I had bought Fallout 3 many months ago, but never had the time to dig in to it. Yesterday I didn't feel all that great so I decided I'd have all the time I'd need to play. I was enjoying walking around scavenging in the wastelands when all of a sudden a horrible buzzing noise, and graphical glitches all over my screen... my Xbox was frozen! I went to turn it back on... and I have the damn red rings of death! Damn. It is a launch console, so I think it's out of warranty... Finally having fun with a game, and now I can't even play...

Re: Currently Playing ...
So that's more of a "currently praying," then?
Last night I started re-playing the original Ratchet and Clank since I never actually finished it the first time around. I'd forgotten how much the game had changed in the most recent iterations (with the hitpoint/XP system, the way the swingshot works, general control improvements, and so on). I'm also amazed that the graphics are a lot BETTER than I remember. During the first cutscene I was snarking about how "haha, on the PS3, they now have better graphics than the PS2's FMV ever was" and then I realized, wait, that's not FMV.

Re: Currently Playing ...
Speaking of R&C, I need to go back and finally finish Future Tools of Destruction so I can play my (import) copy of Quest for Booty [Yes, I refuse to pay more than $10 for DLC, I'd rather pay $30 for a disc instead of $20 for DLC... *Note: I also imported Siren for PS3 for this very reason] Also, I decided to pickup an Xbox 360 Arcade system last night instead of pay $100 & wait 2+ weeks for MS to hopefully fix my broken one... I just need to transfer my digital rights to the new machine now... but I've been enjoying Fallout 3 again!
Also, to those who may have mentioned that they quit playing/didn't get the expansion DLC because they couldn't continue playing with their characters, I believe that was fixed with the Broken Steel DLC, they raised the level cap to 30 and allow you to continue on from the ending of the regular game... just a FYI.

Re: Currently Playing ...
As far as I can tell, finishing ToD has absolutely no effect on QfB, since some time has passed between the two (during which Ratchet has improved his arsenal) and anyway the very beginning of QfB does the all-too-typical "reset switch" on your inventory.
I guess the opening to QfB is full of massive spoilers for the end of ToD, though, so if you don't already know what happened, don't read even the smallest blurb about QfB's plot (which, incidentally, basically does nothing with the greater R&CF plot to begin with and it just seems a bit silly).

I'm still ticking away at Mario Galaxy, actually. I put it down for a while, but recently picked it back up, newly reinvigorated. I'm up to 105 stars with Mario.
