Holy Crap! 250 songs?

I feel like such a slacker.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

BTW - I was told in chat this sounded like a backhanded compliment - but I meant no backhand - I am genuinely curious, since I know of the hundred or so songfight tunes I've written, I can hardly remember some, but know others quite well (a small number) - so it was a real question about how many have entered your repertoire and no put down was intended.

Of the ~100-ish songs I have written, I can only play the following 6 from memory:

So Blue
Don't Break My Heart George Lucas
Get A Life
State of Emergency
The Thing Most Easily Forgotten
plus one non-songfight song, Save Me.

And I am relearning "Ottoman" so I can play it at the open mic cafe on Tuesday, as a special ANZAC Day song (today is ANZAC Day).

We had to re-learn everything we played in Spokane.

We are currently trying to re-learn everything we hope to play in Long Beach.

After which we will work on re-learning the San Francisco set list.

I didn't think the question sounded backhanded because it came from someone who writes a ton of songs as well. OK. Here we go...
By heart:
Mr. Sandwich
Mobile Home House Party
Ga
Thirty Minutes To Litchfield
They Control The Weather
Why So Serious?
Walking The Border
Half A Million Nerds
Tomato
Cost Of Living
Nyataimori
The Last Tommy
Driving Cabs And Cutting Hair
Knowing What To Overlook
Clause 5, Sub-Paragraph D)
Saturate
Green Eleven
Denshi Block Love
A Friendly Reminder
My Sky

That's 20. Not bad.

But, I had to re-learn most of them for when I started playing live. That's how I still know so many. I have word documents with the lyrics, chords and lead lines of each song on 1 or 2 pages. I usually make these a few days after the song is done so I can relearn them quickly.

Mr. Sandwich and Mobile Home House Party will probably be the songs that stay with me forever. They get the most reaction when I play live. Strangely enough, both songs were titles on the same week, and they have been my only wins (splitting Mr. Sandwich with Spy vs Pie).
