I was banned, but I turned in the cover eventually, and I'd sure like to be in.... Please?

Oops, sorry, U.S. Thanksgiving is Nov. 25 this year, so somewhere in late November. In the fall :-) With late entries showing up the first week or two of December :-)

And... just figured out that if we do the assignments by late September, that will give us TWO months to work on our covers. Completely forgot about October...

I assume by "fall", you mean autumn - though of course, November is in spring, when the jacaranda's bloom

(...I seem to be the only one left here standing up for the Southern Hemisphere :( )

How about I phrase this more pragmatically, and more directly...

Does anyone object to my participation?

Well, hey, that's why I put the smiley on "in the fall," 'cause I knew that would be almost as confusing as setting the due date "right before Thanksgiving." But, uhh, yeah, aren't you about the only participant we have from the wrong half of the planet??? "They came for Brazil, and I said, 'who cares?' Then they came for South Africa... and finally when they came for me, there was nobody left to care..." Or something like that.

Somebody stiffed me in the last GOM - but it wasn't you.
So I do not object to your participation.

Really? That's a damn shame! Especially since your GOM for us was AWESOME! It's on a regular rotation in my favorites list!

I keep meaning to go and review the GOM entries aside from the one Albatross did for me. Mostly I was miffed that Teplin never even acknowledged the existence of the one I'd done for him.

I'm in, under the condition that it indeed works out to having about a month to do the cover version. My schedule is not very friendly these days, so there's a component of chance that needs to be compensated for.

He's been MIA for ages. I don't think it's anything personal.

I'd love to participate but don't have many songs online...
Only one songfight entry (tomato) and these few that were posted on Somesongs. I'll add some more this week.

You seem to need no particular season to fall.

I will be finishing my over due GOM soon. I will beg for inclusion at that time.

.
Actually, since November is traditionally the month when:

- University exams finish
- the Melbourne Cup is run
- the first cricket test match of the years starts, and
- the weather starts getting hot and girls start wearing short skirts

it is probably IS the month that I have historically fallen over more often in than the other eleven....

I personally feel that Original Flava should stick to just Song Fight entries, myself (since the whole point to this is reinterpreting someone else's take on a title that you may have already made your own interpretation of), and having only one Song Fight entry in the archives means it would be kind of a dick move to enter this in case someone with that mindset gets you.

If you have some unfinished Song Fight entries that you can post somewhere, though, that would be okay I guess.
