I think that if this title didn't start with "his", it would be perfect. :)

Have half a song written out, but it's a case of my voice doesn't fit it, so it'll be in the Mart in the next day or so.

Got something worked out lyrically and I have a couple "home alone" nights this week to work on recording, so I think I'll be in this week. Unless it's one of those songs that sounded like a brilliant idea when I started working it out but then turned out to be crap once I had actually laid it down... you know how that goes.

I like this title, but for as empty as my schedule has been I've had a hard time finding time....We'll see...

really really really wanna do another songfight song, and i'm actually inclined this time around--it's just the same ol' problems of getting around to doing it. (Baby in tow at home now, so the recording and songwriting opportunities are much more limited than before).

Please be kind. I consider this abuse and you have hurt my feelings. I have had to call a member of my support group at 2:20am to calm me after this unnecessary attack and I fear I still may not be able to get to sleep. If I don't sleep for exactly 7 hours then tomorrow will be very stressful for me and that is all on you.

Well, I thought that was just kind of a given in this case. I will say, though, that I thought this was one of the best responses ever to someone who comes in bragging all about how they're going to dominate the next fight and all that. Perhaps we should make this the official response. Thanks for coming up with this, Ross.

Postby Kapitano » Sat Sep 03, 2011 8:13 am

In this week's episode of "Kapitano is an Idiot"...

I said to myself, "I'll do something a bit like Depeche Mode's Speak and Spell period, seeing as I've got a new recording setup and I'm not sure how it all works so I want something simple that doesn't need advanced synth programming."

After two days trying desperately to figure out why my pseudo-Vince-Clarke pastiche had all the energy of a sloth on barbituates, I did a quick check on the tempo. Speak and Spell is mostly around 160BPM. I'd been writing at 120.

If you have any experiences of wasting whole days because you've missed something thuddingly obvious, send them to "Kapitano is an Idiot", somewhere after this post.

Wrote and recorded an idea i've been milling over the past couple days, happy with it.
Headphones helped i think. Of course this is while it's still in Mixcraft. As I still do not have pro I'm going to have to do what i've been doing and record the music in audacity through [stereo mix] and then convert it to mp3....then submit it. Also, I think my e-mail has been hacked and sending nothing/junk/spam to fightmaster...If so I apologize.

Thought I'd try writing some lyrics first, before coming up with the music, which I pretty much never do.
Got some verses written and started trying to come up with some chords...a few minutes into a promising chord structure I realized that it was "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves."
So yeah, back to the drawing board.
