She said she was a drummer who sang. She really was kickass on the skins.

So Noah Mclaughlin showed up with his toolbelt and his Makita thinking this was some kind of habitat for humanity thing. We still invited him IN DA HOUSE.

DUE WEDNESDAY AT MIDNIGHT PACIFIC TIME. GET EM DONE AND IN!

So I know there are a few folks who are putting the finishing touches on their songs, and I really hope you can submit them in time. And we've gotten a great turnout of submissions so far. Thanks to everyone for playing.

That being said, at least in this particular coverfight, there are no lifelines. Only deadlines.

If you miss this one, you can always post a link to your song in this thread I guess, if you get around to finishing it. But it won't appear on the website. Sorry. I think I've allowed ample time for this.

I think I found a way to contact Richard Carpenter. I think I'm going to send him a link to the website after it's up. Might get a C&D letter back so maybe i'll wait a couple weeks after it goes live. :)

It wasn't directed at you Roy. Please don't take it personally. At least I've heard from you. There are a couple of folks who I've heard nothing from. Jon Eric also posted that he was having issues with the deadline.

It's more a matter of setting up the poll (and being unable to edit the choices once it's running without resetting the count). You know how these things go.

For the record, I don't use Makita. I'm a Ryobi man.

Prolly shouldn't go 'round yell that from the rooftops - or Internet forums, for that matter...

I think I found a way to contact Karen Carpenter. But it can leave you with a pretty nasty hangover.

We are having some recording difficulties. There's a lot of dust in the machine.. Hope to make the deadline, but if not, will make the thread.

OK, sorry to be a stickler here, but Wednesday at midnight is realistically Tuesday night at 12:00. Is that what you mean? Does it need to be done in an hour from now? Or by Wednesday at midnight do you mean I have the rest of Wednesday to finish?

(I actually came online to ask if I could be late and still be in the fight, but now I see that ain't gonna happen, so I need to know how long I actually have...)

Is there any reason you haven't bought my album yet? "We Are All Famous", on iTunes, CD Baby, and Green Monkey Records. Also available in unlimited edition "free" version:
Yes! I want to hear Jim's album without paying for it!

Yeah - completely unrelated to all this - but I have enough trouble with timezones and datelines and shit as it is - please please please for any future fight organisers - never set deadlines as 12:00. Make it 11:59 or 12:01 or 17:28 whatever. Just not 12:00

......Not that it really matters here to Mister Ten Days Early!!!!!!! I am so damn organised.
