I'm gonna have to go with Papa was a Rolling Stone for the epic intro.

I love old MoTown! I want to say the classic everyone always hears "My Girl" because it's great. But I really like the later years like the above mentioned papa was a rolling stone that sound like an opening theme for Starsky and Hutch or Shaft with the muted guitar and wahwah.
But I think I have to go with old Temps, "ain't too proud to beg".

But the disco era was like every other disco song. crap...... AWESOME! Who am I kidding? ...shhhhhhhh! If any of my music friends know I jammed KC and the Sunshine Band, I'll be thrown out of the club! :?

The Way You Do The Things You Do.

Yeah, okay, so it's pretty much just 8 bar blues doo-wop, and as such maybe not the most innovative song in the world (certainly not by 1964), but it's so happy and catchy and well done.

I'm gonna have to say "Can't Get Next to You". That's a great song with a lot of vocal range.

The Temptations are the best of their genre. I love all the songs mentioned.

My pick is "ain't too proud to beg", it's just so freaking catchy. It's an ear worm that never goes away, and I don't mind.
