Mehhh... "Scarlet Begonias" I guess. That's right, I appreciate Sublime more than the Grateful Dead. Judge away.

There are dozens of fantastic songs. I'm so glad I got to see them a couple of times with Jerry. We did the mecca from LA to Vegas a couple summers in a row.
Those were some of the best shows I've ever seen.

I'd have to say Touch of Grey. Everything on "In The Dark" is pretty good though. Tons of Steel and Hell in a Bucket are ridiculously catchy. West L.A. Fadeaway is almost Zappa-esque.
Well, okay, I've never heard My Brother Esau, because I only ever heard this album on CD. I'm guessing it was filler to make the cassette release work, which means it's probably a not very good song. I can't imagine anything coming after Black Muddy River anyway.

"Box of Rain."
They were normally not that great as a studio band, but American Beauty is the exception. "Box of Rain" is the perfect opener - catchy, danceable, a little mysterious.

cavedwellers used to cover Box of Rain back in the day. I love that song! Good call! Yeah their acoustic stuff translated really well in the studio. The electric stuff though was much better live.
There are a lot of chords in Box of Rain. You should read along some time, I had to read a chart for that song for the longest time.

I really like to listen to that very long Eyes of the World from Without a Net. But for songs, say Candyman.

Yeah, I wrestled with saying St. Stephen too, it's another of my favorites.
