GENIUS annotations
I annotated my lyrics for Incandescent in the SF lyric thread using the GENIUS Chrome extension, which rocks all sorts of everything everywhere. I thought it would be really fun to see inside peoples' lyrics. Except mine, which this week offer nothing necessarily trancidental. Just install http://genius.com/web-annotator then highlight some text and ad an annotation. It's very cool.

Just so everyone's aware: if you install this, the folks behind GENIUS will collect data about you and your browsing wherever you go.

Re: GENIUS annotations
I'm also not a fan of an annotations thing that requires a certain way of listening to music, especially when id3v2 already has comments, lyrics, and time-synchronized lyrics as things. There's also Apple's podcast extensions which can be used to embed images at certain points in an audio file although I don't think those are very universally supported.

Yeah, how's that workin' for ya?
I was just looking for a discussion about how to bring this kind of thing to life, not suck the lifeblood out of your brains. Although now that you mention it...

Re: GENIUS annotations
Hey, I think it'd be cool to have some sort of way of adding annotations to our music. It's a really good idea. I just don't think installing a spyware browser extension is the way to do it.

Re: GENIUS annotations
I assure you that wasn't the intent.
