Re: Mixing
I can send you stems for some of my old songs if you like (I'll be home in a week or so)... any genre you're particularly interested in?
What I can't do is send you stems for an unfinished song, because I need the mixing practice myself.

Here you go: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eMIlD ... fXaEOLwmrT
Pretty raw, only a little editing and a tiny bit of panning has been done to these. I turned off all plugins except Guitar Rig, and exported all tracks to WAV.
Have fun, do whatever you like. You could probably spend a while in Melodyne lining everything up if you wanted.

Re: Mixing
Here's another that I put up a while ago for somebody to mix. Not sure what state it's in, but I think it was similarly raw. Oh I do remember that this one had direct input guitars, so it needs to have amp sims of your choosing applied to it -- https://drive.google.com/open?id=17YHim ... uMEuvZInxy

Re: Mixing
I have an entire album (14 songs) that I'm not super happy about the mix of. That may be a bigger project than you're interested in though! It's mostly accordion/acoustic guitar/bass/drums/vocals, with the occasional other thing.

Re: Mixing
Oh cool. I am getting really frustrated with recording because I think I am crap at mixing. I would love a fresh set of ears and a fresh approach. Give me a week or so - I’ll send my next intended Spotify release.
It is one of my old songfight songs that I want to sound like a Rick Rubin produced Johnny Cash song.

they should all start at the same time relative to each other.starfinger wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2019 5:14 amIt looks like all the files are there. Do they all start at zero (time)? I hope my daw can load m4a files
I can do wav. or whatever if you prefer
Please slice and dice as much as you like. Be brutal.
The way I usually record is I do all this stuff - shouting heaps of backing vox - then cut it up to fit
