Here is an AI summary of what Auld Lang Syne is:
"Auld Lang Syne" is a traditional Scottish song, famously penned by Robert Burns in the 18th century, and is deeply associated with New Year's Eve celebrations. The phrase "Auld Lang Syne" translates to "old long since" in Scots, meaning "days gone by" or "old times." The song is a poignant reflection on old friendships and past experiences, emphasizing the importance of remembering and cherishing them.

The lyrics begin with a rhetorical question, "Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?" This line encapsulates the song's theme of valuing and recalling past relationships and shared memories. "Auld Lang Syne" is traditionally sung at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve, marking the beginning of New Year's Day. This practice, which originated in Scotland, has become popular worldwide.

Singing "Auld Lang Syne" at the onset of New Year's Day has become a symbol of bidding farewell to the past year while simultaneously welcoming the new one. It represents a collective moment of nostalgia, reflection, and hope, connecting people as they step into the future while honoring their shared past.
Happy New Year!

I went ahead and added the audio players to a couple of the posts. Seems like you need to copy the download link for your attached mp3 and put that link in an "audio" tag.

Mo, this is wicked cool, laid back and somehow reminiscent, sad and hopeful all at the same time.

Hey Sam thanks for doing that!

And also thanks PFJr, I also enjoyed your rockin' version! I did not know before looking at JB's chart how many verses there are to that song, hahaha
