Set up live gigs with each other, announce gigs you're playing around the country or whatever, talk about how the show went, post links to recordings, etc.

Some great lines - the pink and blue make purple thing, for instance. I'm dying to know what sucky game he worked on - gotta get that one!
I want to thank you all for a great Saturday night. It was some of the most fun I've had in a long time. Such a positive vibe all night long. Some of the musical moments that really stuck with me: PF Mojo doing "Overkill", State Shirt, and seeing Ken in action one more time.
I'll see you again, next time SongFight is in my orbit.
By the way - I didn't mean asking about the game to sound like any sort of put-down. Your song just made me curious what you were singing about, but I didn't miss your point in your comment after the song that there are a lot of people working hard behind the scenes that are not resonsible for the overall quality of the product on a playability level. I hope my comments were not taken wrong.
Yeah, the problem was just that the entire project was mismanaged by incompetent people who didn't know what they were doing, and I was the only one with any real programming experience and every aspect of it was so horribly rushed. 90-hour work weeks on practically a pauper's salary in the most expensive city in the country, working for people who thought that the way to get the game done was to strain three programmers and four writers to the breaking point without any clear direction, understanding, or even vaguest notion of what needed to be done. And for that I get my name inextricably linked to a product which was so bad it was outsold three to one by a wireless chat program, which by the way the Nintendo DS has a better one of built-in already.
Anyway, I didn't take your comment as a dig. I was just answering it. :)
Hey fluffy, I'm in the games industry too. To share an industry horror story, at a former company I was at we once had a producer who was friend's with the company's owner come on board. It turns out he not only had NO game development experience, but he didn't even PLAY games. Nepitism at it's worst. I could go on about the bad things that hapened, but I'm sure you can imagine it all. So do you have a recording of this song, since I missed the show I'm interested in hearing it.
If you haven't left that company yet, the company I'm at is looking for coders. One thing I really like about the place I'm at is crunch is kept at bay fairly well. Anyway, send me a private message if you're looking.
Nah, I managed to get myself fired for blogging about how horrible the place (Longtail Studios nee Guillemot, a subsidiary of Ubisoft) was. Well that and Nintendo was on a witch hunt about a DS SDK leak which I had nothing to do with but I was an easy scapegoat. I have a much better job now.
Anyway, the song (Gin Or Ginseng) was never recorded (aside from being performed at two SFLives now) because I was so damn busy crapping out that horrible piece of shit that I never got a chance to record the song. Someday I might get around to it but it's a fun piece to do live. I have it (badly) recorded via my (crappy) camcorder and I think Edge of LA also filmed my set so maybe recordings will emerge someday, though I think my performance at SF Boston was better.
Also, watching my recordings leads me to realize that I still need better vocal control, I still rush too much, and my finger-strumming technique looks really lame and I should probably learn to use a pick properly someday.

That said, I hope to go through the rest of the tapes this week once I get my deadlined for work stuff done.
Thanks for filming it, Edge. There were plans to record the show, but technical problems thwarted them. The myriad of video cameras that were floatign around are the only record of the show. I can't wait to hear/see how stuff sounded after the fact.
Hey everyone,
Could you please post your set lists here, or email/pm them to me? I am slowly starting the process of recording the songs onto my mac, and the song titles would be helpful. Thanks.
"What We Need More Of Is Science"
"Across The Dusty Plains"
"Step Up"
"Bullseye Girl"
"Skyline: Sweetleaves Version"
"Skyline: Original Version"
"Zombie Son"
with pfm:
"Overkill: Men at Work Cover"
"Bad Dreams: pfm version"
Here's what I remember:
-I'm Not Afraid
-Run Faster (Carol Cleveland Sings cover)
-Systematic Panic
-Ballad of Paul and Sheila (Mason Jennings cover)
-(I should have played my unentered 'Other Places I Have Lived' in this slot but I don't remember doing that)
-A Promise is a Promise
(my mind is blank about what happened here)
...
-Plaisir la Porc
(cleaned up, went home and slept)
So, I am going to tease you guys for now by letting you know that 4 sets have been transfered from my video camera through garage band and onto my itunes. I will likely ftp them on Tuesday using my work T1 line.
While I am no sound engineer, I tried what I could. I had to double track the songs with drums since my cam corder was on the stage facing the drums.
By the way, if anyone wants a VHS recording let me know. It will likely only be of drummers and crotchshots. So anyone interested in the few crotch shots of Ross whilst he was playing with his... ahem... "dulcimer", let me know.
Coming next week:
Seamus
Evil E
Ross Durand
Moxie Prophets (Edge of LA & Buxtahoota)
I don't have a VHS copy, but I have DVCam of some sets. I still need to find a 6-to-4-pin firewire cable which isn't 35 FREAKING DOLLARS though. (Yes I can afford that, but that's not the point. It's just a bunch of wire!)
I'm interested in anythign and everything I can get my hands on of that show, and I greatly appreciate the time and efforts of those who recorded it and are making it available!
First set of songs are done. Wish I could have done more with the levels and stuff.
Next up (but I can't say when):
Lunkhead/Tiny Robots/Loyalty Day
Fluffy
Ken and the New Incredibles
