Re: The 7th Annual Gift of Music
The songs that weren't recorded are a nice collection of obscure songs (at least, to my musical knowledge). There's one song between these lists that I might give a stab at, but I won't say which until I've actually done it so the stiffees aren't gangbanged (that's a double-stiffee).

Albatross's list is correct, but also for the record, the songs for Jon Eric and Albatross will hopefully be submitted this weekend, according to the gifters.

Re: The 7th Annual Gift of Music
Here's Journey "Don't Stop Believing". I recorded this to a drum beat (!) at 120 BPM. If that's enough to get someone to produce it (from adding instruments to just mixing it), PM me so we can do ME$$IAH right. Also, I've recorded it in Audacity, so it would be easiest if I could just zip that whole project up, upload it to my site, and give you a link to download. And by the way, if someone gets on board, I'll be happy to re-record the vocals to make it its best.

Hey everyone,
I think we should all give a big thanks to Heuristics Inc for coming in, pinch hitting and knocking one out of the park. Great job, Bill!

Re: The 7th Annual Gift of Music
hey, you're welcome! the record keeping was the hardest part, i really enjoyed doing the assignment (we used scrabble tiles so it's good there weren't too many entries). fluffy's idea to change the assignment was a good one and i'll do that next year if i'm still in charge. oh and sending 30 pm's one night was a bear too, haha.

Re: The 7th Annual Gift of Music
Hey friends! Sorry for the way delayed post.
Two things:
Eddie Bangs, you cover of sledgehammer is teh awesome. I digs it. We had a blast several years ago doing PG Digging in the dirt and I was hoping to give somebody a similar goodtime with another of his classics. It rocks, I highly enjoy it, great job and many thanks.
Messiah Hang in there buddy, we are seriously almost done. We started doing one song on the list and after a few attempts I named it BoBo the unwanted stepchild and shoved it in the garbage disposal. Once our song is done I feel you'll be pleased and hang it on the fridge. Sorry, sorry, we are lame

Re: The 7th Annual Gift of Music
I am so exited about hearing the mighty Wreckdom coving a song for me. That is awesome, take all the time you need.
I also wanna say thanks to Bill for jumping into this, and making run so smooth. And of course thanks to Eddie are due as well.
Reviews will be coming, I just gotta finish em.
Thank you all

The current list of stiffees (people who still need songs) is over yonder. Click the names for their requests.Chris Cogott wrote:I know i'm just a little bit too late here, but are there any songs that still need to be done?

Re: The 7th Annual Gift of Music
Ok, so according to my really lame deciphering skills it looks like songs for Jon Eric, Albatross, and Me$$ia are done (or being done), which leaves 2 more stiffees. I can do one of them if nobody is already doing it. Is there any kind of deadline creeping up for this? Sorry to be such a noob.

The sooner the better? I think a bunch of us are waiting for the whole gifting to be complete before we review the gifts (or at least, I am).

Re: The 7th Annual Gift of Music
I agree. Let the reviews flow. If anyone is going to turn in anything at this point, it can be reviewed separately or ignored. I really need to hear, "it could use drums"!!

I sent my song in a while ago and it hasn't been posted and I forgot how to self-host.

Re: The 7th Annual Gift of Music
So, in the "Better Late Than Never" file...
Here are four songs for the four who remain stiffed. At least they are posted before this year's starts. Much thanks to chris cogott and J$ for their help. Sorry so late, that part is totally on me.
