Damn I really want to do this but I simply can't give up any of my good pedals, it literally has taken me years to get my rig together. I may have a discarded pedal or 2 that may or may not function properly and aren't fit for sale on E-Bay. If that's cool with everyone, consider me in.

I realize it says "price" in the rules, but I think he meant "prize." I don't think you have to like, ante up. If you win, you get some pedals from me and dre.Dan-O from Five-O wrote:I may have a discarded pedal or 2 that may or may not function properly and aren't fit for sale on E-Bay. We do encourage you to put your pedals in the winners' pot, though.

We have about a month left, y'all.
I feel like I have so many projects and things to keep track of right now, I am literally creating a list with pen and paper, complete with deadlines, etc.
This is probably the most challenging one too. It will be interesting to see if I can come up with something good for this.
ROCK!

I have been procrastinating on this project especially.
I decided to get on the ball, and I am now about 3:20 into the composition.
I am a crappy lead guitarist, but I think I am disguising that pretty well with a lot of guitar harmonies and such. Mine will have the least amount of impressive soloing, but the melodies are not half bad so far.
ROCK!

I just finished an 8.5 minute rough draft of my song last night, so I should definitely have the final version completed on time. YEY! I do have one question though, Bass guitar counts as one of the 4 guitar parts right? No problem if not, I can probably come up with another part to fill the void if necessary, just trying to have it be as uncluttered as possible.

My composition is completely done, but doesn't have a name yet.
I used no effects. The distortion is through the gain being turned up on my recent new toy, the Tube MP.
This has probably been one of the most challenging projects that I have had on my "To do" list. It is nice to be able to scratch it off now.

Just a reminder, to anyone who completed one of these 8 minute long guitar symphony tracks... please post link here on December 1st or PM the link, as i will post them all together.
i have receive only 1 submission not counting mine.. and that’s from Mr. Glenn case, and i think you guys are in for a treat.
Not sure, how many others will turn out with an 8 minutes long guitar song.. But hey it was fun either way.

I'm out. I left it to the last week, which ended up being a week-long sleepless homework bender, followed by a two day coma. I woke up yesterday, apparently with a mild case of retrograde amnesia, for it is only now that I realize I forgot to record my Symphony Puce-onica. Now I wish I had; sounds like I might have earned a bronze.

Thanks, Dre.dre wrote:i have receive only 1 submission not counting mine.. and that’s from Mr. Glenn case, and i think you guys are in for a treat.
I do hope that some people enjoy it. It was a challenge to make an 8 minute composition, and I am SO not a virtuoso but it was fun, and I am happy with it overall.
It's a shame that there won't be Puce and J$ entries to listen to. I was interested in seeing what each of them would come up with.
I still have high expectations for Eddiebangs' entry. I also look forward to hearing yours, Dre.
ROCK!

if mr. case is SO not a virtuoso, the word must not even be in my vocabulary. but i did record something for this. i think i should add a bit more, but i can hand the thing in.
feel free to disqualify it if you think i didn't follow the rules (when you hear it).

Oh, I kept thinking November has 31 days. Ok, my entry is done, but I need to complete the final mix & master. I'll post it tonight, before midnight Eastern.
