Help me assemble my next CD!

Links and other hanky panky that doesn't have to do with anything in particular.

Help me assemble my next CD!

Post by joshw »

I'm about ready to put together my next CD. Most of the candidates are SongFight! entries, so I wanted to ask you guys what you think should go on it. I set up a voting page here. Take a look, and rate the songs that you remember.

Since I have a habit of changing titles, here are some SF equivalents:

"Swimming to Cambodia" = Spalding Gray is Missing
"Cheapskate Romantic" = Romantic Cheapskate
"Gigolo" = A Day In The Life
"Big Disco Ball" = Big Disco
"Dark Roads" = Three Day Waiting Period
"Motorcycle Murder Psycho" = Motor Psycho
"Parasite" = Left/Right
"Cherry" = I Am Tempted

Thanks a billion to anyone who takes some time for this. It'll really help out.

Josh -

Well, your song "Snooter" stuck in my mind for weeks after first hearing it, so I'd suggest including that one... I am way, way behind in my songfight listening, but that one stood out for me...

I rated I Hate You and Can't Take Our Love Away. I don't really remember or never heard the others, so I guess those are my favourites.

the only opinion i have on the subject:

ANYTHING but "waiting takes time".

like, possibly to the point where i might be disinclined to buy the cd if it included that song.

[edit: oops i lied, that wasn't the only opinion. i don't want to sound totally negative so i will offer the following to counteract the negativity. "bonjour mon ami" is probably my favourite of your most recent songs and i'd highly recommend that one for inclusion.]

Whatever you do, it better include "Waiting Takes Time." Or I'll come over your house and steal your knees.

Waiting Takes Time has been the one that's stood out as my favourite of yours.

I'll try to listen to the others and rate them if I get a chance
