I'm finishing up tid-bits today and was going to mix it later this afternoon. I'll extend if everyone else does, especially if it gathers up some more songs.

This one's making me squirm a little bit, but not because Mark played on it. I need to step away from the microphone before somebody gets hurt. Anyway, here is Dreaming with guest guitar by our aforementioned inspirational sponsor.

If anyone wants to give the vocals a shot, gimme a holler.

Damn, if the songs keep coming out this good, I'm deffinatly making a song Fighter Blondie CD. I could listen to this shiz all day long!

The Blood Berries put a berrilicious twist on Call Me. Very cool!

Paco's project kicked ass with great guitar and the famous Paco sound. I fucking love that low voice. Awesome!

If I were Paco's manager, I would design his public image as follows:
Floor length white mink coat
Raspberry beret
An array of sunglasses, primarily sparkly ones like Elton's
A Gomez Adams pointy mustache
Combat boots
Leather motorcycle gloves with the fingers cut off
Under the mink coat, a camouflage speedo and or camo spandex depending on mood
A metal mesh shark proof shirt

He will always have his pockets full of those long balloons and randomly making erotic balloon animals for his fans, like dogs having sex, monkeys masturbating, etc. (Don't worry Charlie, I'll send you to balloon animal training).
During interviews, he will be answering questions and making balloon animals as if it's a compulsive disorder.

Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar, you're gonna go far.
You guys really know how to rock'o, oh by the way, which one's Paco? Image

So you're saying that I should drop the leather codpiece and Kaiser helmut? Sadly, I don't think that the balloon in my pocket is that long, though. :(

Fine, you can keep the leather codpiece and Kaiser helmet. But the balloon animals stay. 8)

Hey is there a drummer in da house? I'm working on a song for this, just need to do the vocals and drums pretty much, and I don't want to use fake drums.

[edit] never mind, I used fake drums. Here's my song.

Well, I (finally) listened to the songs submitted so far. Here are my thoughts on them.

BB&C: I have to admit, for the first 30 seconds or so, I was kind of cringing. I don't even know why now, I got over that, and realized that this is frikkin awesome. I think the thing was that Hobs took a verse to get into it or something. Then he becomes all god-like and shiz. Good job you two. I love you guys. Thanks for doing this :)

Paco del Stinko: I'll start off by saying that it was difficult for me to play guitar on this, for a whole bunch of reasons, the most notable one being my computer was acting all fucky. I seriously would get a part recorded which I thought was perfect, then play it back and it would be all... I don't know what the word for it is, when a CD player freaks out? Glitchy? Digitally fucked up? Anyway, much frustration recording my guitar parts. (also, Paco chose a slow, plodding tempo, which I admit I suck at. I NEED TEH RAWK) All this is inconsequential, however, because he made this really awesome, despite my shortcomings. Only thing I would say to improve it would be some harmony vox. Thanks, Charlie. I had fun doing this with ya, and it turned out great.

Me: I've had some rudimentary tracks done on this for a few weeks now, but got all busy at work, etc., and wasn't able/motivated to finish it on time. It's a long weekend here in Canadia, so I made myself finish it, and I'm really glad I did. It's hard to be objective with your own songs (well, actually, I usually hate my own stuff) but I really, *really* like the way this turned out. I hope you fine people like it too.

I'll update this (if) when other songs come in.

BTW, forget mink, Paco. Fox is way nicer :)

Thanks! However, I think you're right, I may have to go back and re-record that first verse. I think obs would agree because he had already said something AND so then I re-recorded. Third time might be a charm. I was just barely over a cold when I recorded the song.

Thanks again for the listen and the feedback.

Of the three there, I'd give gold to Obsn'Hobs, silver to Markoleum, and meekly accept the bronze. Until someone else comes up, then I could take the what, aluminum? Good stuff, guys.

This is certainly awesome.... but if you ever decide to crank thru "heart of glass" I'm still game for doing you some vox!

Oh *now* you tell me!
j/k, but I figured since you never said anything that you'd lost interest. Hell yes I'd love to collaborate on Heart of Glass. Slow and acoustic, or fast and crunchy?

Whaaa? I said yes! Yes I said yes! But I see now that I said yes in the Videodrome thread, so that could have confused things. Communication breakdown!

I will now move this discussion from the am to the pm so that we can hammer out the details!
