I just got a Wii, thanks to Glenn Case who shipped me one from Washington. Glenn Case is awesome.

Of course, the very day I got the package I went to Best Buy to get a game and there were six fucking Wiis right there on the shelf. They weren't there before-- I think my going through hoops to get one caused the universe to place those Wiis there just to spite me.

I am enjoying BoomBlox very much so far.

I want MarioKart, but it is apparently sold out at my shopping center-- best buy, gamespot, and target all came up empty.

I got Super Mario Galaxies, but have not opened it yet.

PM me your Mii number or whatever it is, if you have one, and you want to. I will add you, or whatever it is you do with those things, so we can do whatever it is we can do on the Internet with a Wii.

There's a big ol' repository of Mii exchange codes in the "posting this from a Wii" thread.

Yes, please do post yours to the thread. I added a lot of numbers from that thread, but most others did not add mine. Oh well!
I like Galaxy a lot. I have 52 stars.

FWIW, those codes are only for Mii exchange and messaging. The novelty wears off very quickly. I wish the Mii codes were for all games and not just for messaging, but every single game has its own stupid set of codes for WFC and so on. It's ridiculous.

Yes, I agree that it's dumb to have separate codes for everything. You should only need to add friends once, especially if it's a 16-digit number. But still, it's fun to have the Miis from your friends, so don't leave us in the dark :)

Maybe you don't want to share everything. :)

Why would you want to share only some games in common? It's not like these are for weblog entries or whatever. And even with the friend codes it's still a pain in the butt to organize a game.

I much prefer the way the PS3 does it on PSN. YOu have a username, you send a "please be my friend" message to someone else, you're paired forever and ever, and when you check your friends list you can see if they're playing a game you have and, hey, send them a message and you can play, no problem. With Wii and DS WFC, if you want to see if you have any friends on playing any game you have you have to basically boot into every game you own that you have a friend relationship with and see who's on, or call them on the phone (gasp) to arrange a game or whatever.

And X-Box did that same thing like 5 years ago. :D

But that's great for PS3 I guess.

I'm currently playing FUCKING INFURIATING GTA IV MOTORCYCLE MISSIONS, Phoenix Wright, and still working on the last couple Pyro achievements I need. Oh, sweet sweet Axtinguisher: I will have you.

6/10, a pretty good troll attempt. I can imagine this momentarily raising hackles. Your're getting better, Rone.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that found these frustrating. I think, though, that all you have to do is make sure you don't lose the target. Don't worry about trying to drive and shoot or anything like that, it seems most of those chase type ones always have a point where the target crashes into a ditch or pond or something.

Tap Tap Revolution on the iPhone is a lot of fun, and is free.

On the other hand, the iPhone version of Super Monkey Ball is pretty crappy, and costs $10. The controls are terrible. The theory is okay, but in practice it feels like they don't actually map onto what you're physically doing, like they never actually playtested them and that they just took the GameCube version's levels and then trivially mapped the accelerometer to analog stick. Ugh.

Fun fact: This is the second cellphone I've bought Monkey Ball for. (The first was the N-Gage.)

I would be really surprised if they didn't release an iPhone version of it too, seeing as how it's been such a huge success even though nobody really buys iPod Classic games.
