Songfight! Olympics - Opening Ceremony
The torch is lit, the doves are released and everyone is doped up to the eyeballs - lets go.
The first Songfight Olympic event has commenced:
- Form a team
- Write and record a song as a team
- send link to me and I will set up a voting page to decide medals
- Closing date: 31st August 2008
TITLE:
"Let A Hundred Flowers Bloom"
(*or if you don't like that - feel free to use any other Mao Zedong quote from this page)
NB - songs do not have to be Olympics related in any way - the purpose of this is to turn Songfight into a team sport. Lets see some collaborative efforts from people who may not normally collaborate.
Hoping to see at least 4 entries - one each from the following teams:
AUSTRALIA
CANADA
GREAT BRITAIN
USA
if anyone wants to form any other geographically based team - go for it (eg. would be great for all the guys going to Florida to get together and enter as a team).
All welcome to join in - the more members per team, the merrier.
TEAM CONTACTS:
AUSTRALIA
If you want to represent Australia - PM me. (Denyer, Sausage Boy, Pigpen - I'm looking at you). Anybody else - if you think you have a claim to Australianess (ie you have seen all the Crocodile Dundee movies, or you have tasted Vegemite) - feel free to jump on board.
CANADA:
Sven Mark Mullet - do you want to put you hand up to sort out the Maple Leaves?
GREAT BRITAIN:
Adam Adamant, you expressed early interest - do you want to run with this? Or Ujnhunter? Were you going to sign up for this side of the Atlantic?
USA: Hinc? BLT? Somebody?

Re: Songfight! Olympics - Opening Ceremony
I might be able to drop a drum track for the Canadians if I get the track before Monday. Or I could write something ... but there are things I would rather do.

Re: Songfight! Olympics - Opening Ceremony
Okay, I have a basic idea for a song. It bounces between 13/8 and 9/8 every other measure. There's an extra beat on every second measure that is a prime number. You up to it? (Team:Canada is counting on you)Reïst wrote:I guess it's an "in" with restrictions.

Re: Songfight! Olympics - Opening Ceremony
PSA: I was kidding about that. I have nothing at the moment. Also, Team:Canada needs at least one other person it it. Please come out of the woodwork right about now, Canucks.

That avatar is hilarious! I honestly crack a smile every time I see it. Please use it someday in an album, because I think it's very "you". You're a funny kid with great musical talent.Reïst wrote:Ah, that reminds me.Billy's Little Trip wrote:Is Reist even 16 yet, he looks 12?!
