I forgot to mention that I saw this movie earlier this week and I really liked it. It's about the record label, Chess Records and how it all started. I think the fun part of this movie was guessing who each of the blues legends were before they say their names. Good cast. Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, Cedric the Entertainer, Eamonn Walker, Mos Def, Beyoncé Knowles. I won't mention which blues greats they played, because it will spoil the trivia.
I've always been into the blues and know quite a bit about many of the true blues men. But I did come away from this movie learning something I never knew. Etta James was Minnesota Fats illegitimate daughter.
...oh, and Little Walter was a CRAZY fucker.

What, you thought his songs were fictional?Billy's Little Trip wrote:...oh, and Little Walter was a CRAZY fucker.
It's sitting by the tv waiting for me to slot it, so I'll most likely be posting in this thread again at some later date.
