Most metal bands I used to listen to back in the 80s I stopped listening to. I never got tired of Iron Maiden.
When anyone asks me what my favorite metal album is, I answer with Iron Maiden - Killers

Murders in the Rue Morgue is my pick.
Phillipso, Older Brothers, Semolina Pilchards, Zipline , Thank Glennny for the Frisbee, The Odoriferous Valley, The Worldly Self Assurance, Berkeley Social Scene, Very Gentle Knives, Daddy Bop Swing Set, GUNS, The Kraken Lives, Cavedwellers

Mike Lamb turned me on to Iron Maiden a few years back by recommending Powerslave. I think my favorite of their is probably the instrumental from that album, "The Duelists."

(Honorable mention, however, to their bold adaptation of "Rime of the Ancient Mariner.")

Because they are f'n Maiden. \m/

Honorable mention to Run To The Hills and The Trooper.

My favorite is the Wicker Man. Adrian Smith's guitar work is so good.
