Honorable mention to Big Yellow Taxi, but I really like "Help Me".

For me it's Woodstock. It's spooky, stark, beautiful and a legit counterculture anthem. She pushes her voice to the point of straining at few points, which adds to its power. Chills.

I Love Joni Mitchell! She's my favorite folk artist bar none. Then she branched into jazz and was amazing. She had a band with Pat Metheny on guitar and Jaco Pastorius on bass, Michael Brecker on sax.
The Blue album is flawless from beginning to end.
There's this song with weird beautiful chords called Roses Blue from Clouds. That's probably my pick.

Oh but the live version of Black Crow is so good too.

There's no wrong answer for Joni, she's one of the greats.

Had to think about this one for a while. Joni has tons of great songs, but none of them jumped out at me at first. I'm going to give an honorable mention to "Woodstock" and "River," but choose the more upbeat "Carey" as my favorite.
