The Song Fight Bulletin Board

First off, what a great reworking of that song, Lunk! Hope those verse vocals didn't hurt to do but good job and on the weirdo bridge as well. Super guitar work of course and thumping bass. This instantly joins my library and goes with other covers of my songs where the one covering it shows me how it should be done. A delight, thank you.

With regards to hosting links, I meant could Somesongs be used as a source for you to link to? I am thinking that I need to post the song somewhere versus mailing it in like a regular fight. Is this correct? I don't currently have a spot to post things, kinda gave up on that thinking I wouldn't need to. Suggestions welcome, of course.

I can not turn that song around within 24 hours, this time anyway, but am excited to tackle it and won't dawdle around to get it done. Thanks!

You can upload an mp3 straight to the messageboard as an attachment. No need for external hosting.

Oh I see. SomeSongs actually doesn't host any files at all, all the songs posted there are just posted as links to mp3s hosted somewhere else. So that wouldn't be an option. You can upload the file to a comment on the boards like user suggested, or email it to me and I'll post it to my site for you, or check out SoundCloud, they offer free mp3 hosting with a ton of options and features on top. Can't wait to hear your cover, and I'm glad you enjoyed my cover of your song. It was a ton of fun to make! Those are some literally blistering bass lines. All the guys in BSS were like "Who's singing?" They didn't realize it was me. Now they want me to sing like that all the time, ha!

I don't get sick often but when I do, I do. Had a ring modulator in my ear for a few days which is nowhere near as cool as that may appear. Respiratory nastiness, hacking, crud, I'm still not better and am on the mend. However, I have the music for this near ready and am not far off. I hope. I'm excited to hear the cover! I'm not sure I understand what that lyric post is meant to be. Is that you transcribing them as you think they originally were? Or is that you interpreting and deliberately changing them for your cover?

I'm asking because a) I hear some differences in the song vs what you wrote there and b) so far what folks had been doing mostly was trying to transcribe the original song's lyrics as accurately as they could, then posting that to the original lyric thread for that fight, and/or deliberately modifying them and posting them in this thread (like j$ and King Arthur). I like the idea of a separate thread for that stuff. I might edit that thread's title though so it is different from this thread's.

No problem at all, totally understandable as they are pretty odd lyrics. Like I said I think it's fun to have a lyric thread for these covers in the cases where the covers' lyrics differ, so, it's fine where it is. Not to be a bit of a stickler for paperwork but for the Chumpy bonus would you mind also posting the lyrics to the lyric thread for the original fight?

And if the file's too big to post here you could email it to me. I can PM you my email if you want to send it that way.

I think I prefer the new lyrics. I don't know what "e to the high five" means, but I know I like it.
