... then figure out how to get the gospel choir in here for the big finish on mm's song. BTW, mm - you'll have the added bonus of everybody telling you they like your version of the song way better than mine :-) Charles Good to hear it's coming along. I'm really looking forward to this. My grandfather was Finnish...arrived in the US when he was 18. He didn't look anything like this.

That's a creepy website. The tables make me think of Elvis Costello's "Let Him Dangle": the hangman shook Bentley's hand to calculate his weight.

I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has submitted covers of my songs so far. I've absolutely loved almost all of them so far. Perhaps I have a future as a lyric writer more so than an artist? :P I think, if anything, it shows that your songs have potential. Take your cue from the r...

Consider me not offended by that at all. :) I don't much like 'em either. But I guess if someone wanted to hear it, and we could do it, well, that's the job. At least for this band. Man, I sold out or something. It used to be about the MUSIC. :D My first band was pretty democratic, playing covers s...

Women's Tennis. Women. In skirts. Hard, dynamic work. Sweat. 'nough said. Women's college volleyball. I have no idea if the plays are exciting, but those shorts. Hmmm... Seriously, though, I voted American football. For me, there's nothing like a Sunday afternoon, a cold brew, Doritos, and a big, g...

Great job Melvin and Furry.

I give up. There's no way I could top all the cool Rone covers here. I'll just be sitting back and enjoying the music.

Very, very impressed. Talk about making something out of nothing. 8)

I have a buddy in Nashville who I could visit. A SF hootenanny would be a good excuse to go visit. I'm in.

Oh, and congratulations on the move. Always an exciting change.

ok then, i could probably be an understudy but not an official-10-member (if you're interested). -bill Yeah, seeing as how it would be the same 10 people, I don't think I'd have the time for a major commitment, but like Bill, would be into being an understudy of sorts, playing 'minor' roles on a fe...

Count me too! Metrically crazy. Can you expand on what the "ten roles" means, and who is responsible for the mixdowns? OK, so here's how I envision an example song Here's an example of ten roles: 1. Director 2. Lyricist + concept 3. Keys + tempo 4. Turntables 5. Backup vocals 6. Lead voca...

Okay. Here's a link to my cover of Rone's Bitter Orange. If you want to let me know what you think, go ahead. If you don't want to, don't. That's better. Nice job with the ending. if you want to record a cover for someone, just STFU and do it and spare me the drama. And yet you keep checking this t...

Enlisting will probably be a good motivator. Nearly every one of my enlisted students express how their military experience motivates them to get out and go to college full-time.

I teach college near an Army base and have had many enlisted personnel as students. Many of them have stories of being told one thing by recruiters only to be assigned somewhere completely different. You want to be an Army cook? Well, while we're waiting for a position to open up, you'll be assigned...
