Re: Good Trouble

Good Trouble - Paco del Stinko I met a girl down at the docks She was working hard around the clock I asked her if she ever stopped She said come and see me when I get off Mmm-mmm-mmm that's good trouble Long ago when I played Spades I drank a litre of vodka and lemonade I scaled the wall unafraid ...

Re: Cooking

When I make pizza on a stone, I form the dough on parchment paper. Add toppings, slide right onto the stone. Grilling the dough is good too, minus the parchment, of course.

Re: Gear Acquisition Syndrome

Nice pedal there, Crumpy. I'm curious as to why Toshiro wants a Big Muff. Great pedal, but probably less versatile. I've had one for ages now, only break it out for Muffy Moments. Last time I recall using it at SF! was for Corvette, with a Blue Lang (!) made treble booster in front of it. Good luck ...

Re: My Life

We have three cats. There has never been evidence of mice visiting the two living floors, just the cellar and attic. But I had a cat years ago who left a mouse head as tribute, or whatever, in front of the cabinet where I kept her food. Same with other cars I've known over the years. Is Fiona selfis...

Re: My Life

Well, Owl, I'm glad that as concerning as diabetes is, it's not something worse and should be controllable. Good luck with all that it involves. In my corner, I've just found out that I have high cholesterol and am at a supposed 10% chance of having a heart attack or stroke within the next ten years...

Re: My Life

Owl, please be well. Exhale through the mouth, too. :) We've had mice in the cellar and even, more disturbingly, in the attic, in recent years. Mostly fall and winter. Hate to kill anything, but disease, man. Successful trap bait has been a peanut glue gunned to a traditional trap. A few peanuts esc...

Re: Cooking

Awesome, JB. Love the whole fam participation part. I guess I'd just have to have some, if offered. :) Native strawberries are a delight up here in New England, they peak in June. When I was a little feller, a long, long, time ago, my nana would mash some in a custard dish and present. Very old time...

Re: Cooking

Looks acceptable, JB. Try slicing the berrys, put in a bowl with a wee bit of sugar, mash with a fork. Homemade shortcake, self whipped cream, done. Try with peaches, too. Anyone makes that with canned berries, those pre-made spongey Twinkie cakes, and spray tube cream... I'm coming to kick your doo...

Re: Covering random songs from the archive

So I've been sitting on the finished music for this for a couple weeks now. I had a guitar part to learn and do for a buddy, but im really waiting for a night when its not 105 degrees in my studio and that i can properly motivate to do the vocals for this. Motivate meaning drink booze. Ken, please r...

Klownhole. Awesome. Their Saint Gratis is one of my faves, despite needing an edit for length.

That Munkiboo song is good yeah, but I understand the ???.

Rock on, Niv!

Re: Niv and the Exploration

You must be a wee bit nuts to take this on again, Niv. But more power to ya! :) I was thrilled when I made it to your last list a couple of times, might be a tad bummed if I don't make the cut this round, although certainly understandable. Dig in, brother!

Re: Open vs closed back headphones survey

I use close back while on drums, open at the desk. But I only ever rarely use them for mixing. Maybe once a year to check something. But the open ones do allow you to wear them longer without causing fatigue, I do believe. The desk ones are some decent AKG ones, can't remember the model.

I remember reading, many years ago, about duels. Were there more than one? What happened? Any stories, old timers?

Re: Covering random songs from the archive

Sounds great, Ken! I can't recall ever hearing you sing so aggressively. The guitar tone reminds me of Los Angeles by Frank Black. I dont know if the lyrics are all correct but who cares. And ripping lead, Lunk. I bow humbly in your presence. Good work fellas. UJN: Grab a title and go for it. Great ...
