Re: One last dance (Before the Music is Over reviews)
Deadnettlez - Once again. Props on the whole no instruments thing. Although it’s not my favorite, it’s not bad. The lyrics get really lost in this to me. I think it’d be cool if the highlight was your voice, and there was the “instruments” supporting it. The creativity is real, but I’d encourage you...

Re: Dredging Up Some (From The Depths Reviews)
I'm not sure what you mean by "velocity." My usual composition process is to write the instrumental parts of the song as sheet music in a program called MuseScore, then have it export each instrument as a separate track. I then import all the individual instrument tracks into Audacity, re...

Re: From the Depths
A single march, right out to sea Wait your turn to speak, better yet don’t speak at all I’ve been listening to the same things my entire life And something isn’t right Somethings are not permitted Everything is not OK No, not everything is safe It's a shame we are custom fitted Cause everything is n...

Re: Dredging Up Some (From The Depths Reviews)
Deadnettlez - Once again. Props for the “only using oral noises” (could I have phrased that anymore uncomfortably?). But, I’m not a huge fan of this one. The burping sound gave me just a disgust feel. I get what you were trying to do with the from the depths thing, but it just made me uncomfortable....

Re: We Visited Some Reviews (We Visited A Forest Full Of Graves)
Bone Uppercut - Eerie to say the least. Got a creepy cool vibe. My few opinions are: a tad bit repetitive (but aren’t we all?), but it changes a bit half way, which is good. The highs on that bell like synth are a bit too ear piercing for my taste, I’d bring the highs on the EQ down a touch. I like ...

Re: We Visited a Forest Full of Graves
The immutable The thing I need the most And the single thing That I am scared to find on my own And this progress is Not what I thought it’d be Cause unfortunately I gotta find my way back to reality Cause in this ocean of a storm My heart has become war torn And I am scared to live Cause I’d have t...

Re: But all I found was your song (Looking 4 U reviews)
Sorry, could have clarified what I meant by "warmer." I meant that the song could maybe use its highs being a little more upfront, adding a crisper sound. Maybe try boosting the highs when mastering? Mastering's not my forte, so there could be more efficient ways of doing this

Re: But all I found was your song (Looking 4 U reviews)
I didn't have a lot of time to review, so sorry for the short reviews. I thought everyone did well for the most part, I enjoyed hearing the many fun poppy synth songs. Macaque Attack - I like the guitar in the beginning of the song. Something about the duel melody is a bit unsettling, and the song s...

Re: Safe Harbor
Safe Harbor by the Overambitious What do you want from me I’ve been trying to sleep I’m void in my heart Cause In seconds I read The signs on the stone cause The wall is all that I’ve known What do you want from me In my silence I can’t sleep And I can’t sleep If we can’t sleep Then let us dream Of ...

Re: Harboring unsafe thoughts about your songs (Safe Harbor reviews)
I thought everyone did really good this time around! Nothing made me cringe so thats a plus ;) Macaque Attack - I really liked the crunchy drums. The tremolo effect and melodic piano was a nice touch. The vocals could maybe be brightened just a bit. Great job! Get’s a vote! Inflatable Vegetables - N...

Re: Say when (Seems Like A Little Too Much reviews)
So before you read your review: Please don’t take anything too hard, most of the time I mean it as kindly as possible… most of the time. I’m a big fan of loud drums, so I’ll probably complain about it a lot ;) Overall I think everyone did really good. Toby Roktot - Loved the acoustic feel. The vocal...

Re: Seems Like a Little Too Much..... lyrics
Seems Like A Little Too Much by The Overambitious We’ll go a running Around for something The sun is setting And where am I heading? Been chasing a firefly And now it’s time to die So quick and so cold it seems like a little too much The winter has called my name And I am so afraid Will you comatose...

Re: Bottle Neck
Bottle Neck by The Overambitious And we’re blocked by what isn't true With these broken walls were walking to And if I was to believe again Then maybe I would see them Bleed You’re stuck in a bottleneck And you’ll believe what has left You fake what you feel And you break what is real Time Is wasted...
