Re: Song Fight! Live 2019: Curds & Chords (Madison WI US 8/2-8/3)

Maybe it'd make sense to alternate solo/ensemble to make it easier to deal with the transitions? How much time do we have each night, again? Remember that the live fight is going to probably take at least 5 minutes per artist, and often we end up with more livefight artists than sets. Also do we hav...

Re: Song Fight! Live 2019: Musicians Exchange

I'd be happy to help out on your set, fluffy. I can play bass as long as you're not looking for super complex bass lines. I could play rhythm guitar or keyboard too. My chronic pain issues are still being a problem for me and so I'd appreciate more folks being able to help me out if possible. I'm l...

Re: Song Fight! Live 2019: Musicians Exchange

My chronic pain issues are still being a problem for me and so I'd appreciate more folks being able to help me out if possible. I'm limiting myself mostly to songs which are the same few chords over and over again, if that helps. Bass and drums would be the most helpful.

Monkey music

Yes-- I started working on a poster yesterday, but haven't gotten too far yet. If anyone else wants to do it, let me know, otherwise I'll continue later... p.s. In other important Madison-related music news, I was looking up Metallica's "Of Wolf and Man" today for reasons and found out that it is t...

The only music that the researchers found that they liked, anyway. I wonder how they'd react to Octothorpe.
Indeed, the monkey music sounds shrill and unpleasant to human ears
Okay, or Anna-Lisa Ingemansson.

Re: DIY Acoustic Baffling Article

It's less ironic given some of DIYPerks' other videos, I think. He is very much a Maker Porn type. I mostly watch his channel because he has a soothing/relaxing voice, not because I have any intention of building any of the fiddly overwrought stuff he makes. The acoustic panels are probably the firs...

Re: DIY Acoustic Baffling Article

The 3D printer doesn't really seem all that necessary in the build. You could cut those end pieces out from any number of rigid materials. Also 3D printers are pretty cheap now, and are useful for a lot more than just making acoustic panels. And like the presenter said, there are plenty of places wh...

Yeah it's probably the most elegant approach I've seen in DIY acoustic treatments. The comparison bit at the end is also pretty great, I was surprised at how effective they were.

Arthur does get somewhat better throughout the season, at least, but I can totally see that being a reason to stop watching.

I ended up watching season 2 and I enjoyed it quite a lot. A shame it's canceled though, the ending of season 2 sure left a LOT of stuff to happen.

Oh yeah this would be a good time to make requests from me too. I’m going to be playing a cross-section of my various things. My current set works out to 30 minutes when I plow through so it’s got plenty of room for extension.

I'm finally listening to this. Unfortunately I don't have any copies of the Attack of the Show episode; it never even occurred to me to download it. I remember it mostly being very awkward. EDIT: Regarding the review on mine, I was definitely trying to avoid annoying the neighbors at 11 PM, and the ...

30-45 minutes is a lot longer than a typical SFL set, but anyway I have a lot of songs memorized. :P My main limiting factor is pain, not material.
