Re: Say when (Seems Like A Little Too Much reviews)

We all take the reigns at some point in Gert to do lead vocals. It's an organic on line collaboration in many respects. Trying to organize the parts in such a short span sometimes it just grows that way due to time and how ideas shape out. I agree THC has magical ways of tying it all together on the...

ten dollar pony - The Ahhhs are definitely a great part of this tune. I really like how the reverb tailors them so nicely with the backup music. The third time it happens, however, they're not as strong as the first two. For some reason, and this just may be self-diagnosed ADD, I just feel like the ...

Re: Put your plans on hold and write some reviews

Tuners Union - Neat how the drum part sounds like it was recorded from a box through an amp. This is an excellent take on the title, although the barbershop harmonies got a little over-bearing. I would of paired that down, in my opinion it sounds like a little too much of a good thing. By the end th...

Re: Gonna write her a song, eh?

I just discovered that cassette tape cases, swiveled backward all the way, make excellent smartphone stands. Cassette (cases) will never die!! That is cool. I should go out to my studio and raid the three thousand cassettes I have in boxes and put them in different areas just so I don't have to lif...

My favourite thing about 4 tracks was how freaking noisy they were, but you kind of lived with it cuz that's all there was available. I've recorded whole records on 4 tracks. Gawd I'm dating myself.

Re: Merde! (The Only French I Know Reviews)

Elephant Kitties - Nice take on the title and the lyrics are really outstanding in their subliminal uprisings, poetically speaking. Like something I've heard before but yet I'm still surprised nonetheless. Excellent. Would have dropped the male voice a little deeper in the mix, but there is also ki...

Well I'm just coming back from India and "yes" I've brought back a beautiful Sitar. Got a theremin for my 40th this year from my wife and a Lap Steel for Christmas. Since I was unable to do last year due to work, I'm going to endeavour to tackle that beast this year. When I completed FAWM ...

Happy Holidays - Xmas tunes

Merry Xmas all! A little treat with thehipcola singing some backups and a xmas gift from santa in the form of a 1947 lap steel guitar doing some lead. Haven't fought in a while but maybe over the holidays. Cheers all!
