Re: It's not my fault (I Can’t Turn It Off reviews)

My thoughts for what they are worth. I usually try and pick my top 5 to vote for but in this occasion I couldn't bring myself to get drop in down 2 more because I liked them too much. add : The percussion in this is fantastic, I love how much this tune jumps around my headphones. It makes you feel r...

Re: Remixfight

Here's mine, I basically pinched the bits of the tracks I liked. Messed around with them and pasted it all around. I moved the vocals around a bit, I have no idea what it means so the track lyrically probably makes absolutely no sense if translated. I couldn't do anything with the drums to make them...

I didn't think I was going to do a track this week but apparently I had a tune in me. Whether it is any good or not, we shall see.

Re: What was that? (Disembodied Voice reviews)

Thanks for everyones comments on my track, it is much appreciated :) seemanski My song is gonna lose to this one, isn't it? I'm not sure, I think you might have the edge on me. Personally, my money is on Pannacotta Army ;) seemanski - Better vocals than I remember hearing from you during Nur Ein. I'...

Re: What was that? (Disembodied Voice reviews)

My attempt at putting my thoughts down, not something I make a regular habit of doing but I figure the more I do the better I get. Great round everyone, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hopefully my thoughts mean something and it isn't just me talking out of my bottom. add : A charming little ditty, the gui...

Re: Who's that?! (Disembodied Voice prefight)

It's been a while so I thought I would have another, and this is what it is all about: - it's the sound of me getting pissed off with my neighbours - it's the sound of me listening to far too much (or not enough) Jimmy Urine - it's the sound of me impulse buying the new CA2600 VST plugin - it's the ...

Re: Not much to do but (Sitting In The Life Boat reviews)

add : The vocals on this track are wonderful. I loved how tender they, especially when that 2nd part kicks in. The real star of the show in this for me was that synth in the chorus, it really stands out in the track and helps delivers that hook line. I'm not overly keen on the solo, it sounded good...

Re: After the death car (Sitting In The Life Boat prefight)

I'm in, decided to go for a Mumford and Sons kind of thing, not sure why as I'm not really a fan of the band :?. I recorded 3 acoustic guitar + vox takes one after the other and was going to neaten it out and slap some fake drums and stuff on but decided against because I really like the live kind o...

see-man-ski not so long ago you would say to me focus on where you're heading not your misery I took that advice straight to heart but I just couldn't get past the start I'm a whisper in the breeze that's been heading out to sea sitting in a lifeboat I'm the reason that you can't believe in all tha...

Re: OK partner, (Let’s Call It A Draw prefight)

I'm in (I nearly wasn't). I'm in the UK and saw the date and thought great 9th September I've got bags of time. I checked this morning and before I had a moment thinking 9th January that's odd, I twigged. So I quickly finished it off in my lunch break and chucked in a stylophone solo to try and meet...

Re: No worries, it's all... (Good Trouble reviews)

Balance Lost : Whenever I see your name I know I'm in for a treat. The tone on those guitars is great and I really really really liked that lead part in the chorus. The I/you balance in the lyrics is neat and the feeling I got when listening was that someone had a wrong doing on them and you are ac...

Re: No worries, it's all... (Good Trouble reviews)

Wow, that's a lot of tunes this week. Slowly working my way through the reviews, I've had a few listens whilst walking and all of the tracks are really good. I'll put my words of non-wisdom up once I've gone through whilst jotting down random thoughts as I listen. The tracks that really stood out fo...

So, I thought I would give this reviewing thing a crack. I always feel a bit out of my depth doing this kind of thing, but now I am thinking if you don't try, you never know. So here goes .... Brown Word and the Big Whine : This was obviously a protest song looking at the lyrics and at first I thoug...
