Re: Restoring a 1930s polyphonic synthesizer

The folks at Soniccouture sampled this Novachord (and it happens to be on sale through July 3). There is another Novachord restoration done by Dan Wilson of Hideaway Studio in the UK. That machine was also sampled and is available from Hollow Sun.

Re: Gift of Music 2016-2017

Awesome! Thanks glennny! I'm loving the vocal collaboration on this and cannot keep from smiling with each listen. Enjoying the acoustic arrangement with just the right easy going touch, but the vocal duo really brings it home. Great work! I'm really looking forward now to doing some collaborations ...

Re: Gift of Music 2016-2017

My cover has been sent now, sorry for the delay. Wanted to do some different things arrangement wise, but couldn't get things to fit together better than a more straightforward approach.

Re: Gift of Music 2016-2017

Unfortunately I wasn't able to wrap up everything over the weekend. I'll be in as soon as I can this week after a bit of cleanup on the mix.

Re: Gift of Music 2016-2017

I'm running behind at this point, so any extra time is welcome. I'll push to wrap things up as soon as I can, but hitting the deadline isn't looking likely.

Re: Five hours less than two whole days (Forty Three Hours Reviews)

Some review thoughts... Berkeley Social Scene I like the cross-country driving idea. The accompaniment has some nice variation that keeps things interesting throughout the song. The use of drawn out words in the chorus worked well to add a nice contrast between verse and chorus. The guitars sound go...

Re: Forty Three Hours

Forty Three Hours by The BeWells It was Friday afternoon Just a two day get-away Wasn't looking for anything But some time to rest and play While I was checking in You were checking me out Swore I saw a second glance But you caught my eye, no doubt All it took was one look And I was falling for you ...

Re: It's a quantity of time (Forty Three hours prefight)

It's been far too long. The BeWells are back in for this round. Hopefully I can include my sister in future efforts and get some of the old music gear set up. This one is a solo effort with a guitar and laptop. Since the last entry (and any other side fight related activities) I've relocated, gotten...

Re: What's your excuse this time? (Paper Thin Prefight)

For the first time this year I actually wrote a song before the deadline, but could not get a decent recording. We are slowly getting back into the swing of things, so hopefully The BeWells will be back in the fight soon. This, however, is not the one.

Re: Songfight LIVE 2008 Tampa, Hot & Sweaty

Having made it out the past two years, I should probably chime in sooner than later. Due to a number of circumstances this year I will be unable to make it, so you can put me (The BeWells) down for "can't make it". I have not even had much time to lurk around the boards these days, let alo...

I have apparently also gotten caught up in the fun. Here are some of my favorite combinations I have hit thus far. On the positive side, I finally have some motivation to get back to writing songs (after jotting down one hundred or so of these) and will be joining in on this year's FAWM festivities....

Have you tried exporting parts or small section at a time with their VSTs, then import them back and turn off the original track and it's VSTs? Or just import the exported parts into a new project. I do this, and it makes life nice. In the earlier message I almost mentioned that I have to switch to...

I'm hoping to have something in a few hours, so I'll try to send it off in the morning. Scratch that morning bit...my apologies for the continued lateness. I'm still working on the mix, but trying to figure out how to do so in a way that does not keep overloading the processor (I really need to loo...

At this point it looks like I will be late. I need to record one last bit and then get back to working out the final arrangement and mix. I'm hoping to have something in a few hours, so I'll try to send it off in the morning.

With your performance at SFL2007 still in memory, I can hear the places where Lindsay's voice should be, though. (Assuming she isn't on the track; if she is I can't hear her) Your assumption is correct. I would have loved to have her on this one, but we were unable to schedule something around the ...
