Thanks CR! I'm glad my birthday is the same day as a dubious national holiday in your country.

Re: Monday, January 23, 2012
fluffy, have you tried probiotic yogurt? I had chronic digestive problems that improved pretty drastically after eating one 4 oz. container of Stoneyfield Farms's probiotic yogurt ever day for a while. Perhaps you just need to recolonize your colon?

Re: Song Fight! Style Guide
Wow, that's awesome! Great work Spud. Thanks for doing that. When I have a few minutes this weekend I'll update the embeddable player to use the 100px "SONG FIGHT!" (on one line) image. Yay!

I'm too lazy to check if this video has been posted here before, but it is really cracking me up for some reasons, so I wanted to share it.

Re: Song Fight! Style Guide
I'm not familiar with "aspect ratio" in the context of fonts settings (e.g. in Word, Photoshop, etc.) so I don't feel comfortable assuming that I know exactly what Spud meant. I would rather just make a place where Spud can provide more information at some point if he feels like it, where ...

Re: Song Fight! Style Guide
You guys are so funny sometimes. If there is in fact "horizontal scaling" involved, and not just changing some font setting (like letter spacing) until things look right That is what everyone was saying, yes. That is what you were saying fluffy, not everyone. The words Spud used that I qu...

I could try to reproduce what you're doing in your image editor if you or anybody else would ever actually get around to putting some specific details about exactly what font settings you're using on here.

Re: Song Fight! Style Guide
Personally I think it would be much more user friendly if the logo, at least on the Web, were done just using text and CSS. Then anybody could just "Inspect Element" in their favorite browser and instantly see how it's set up. No guesswork required. And if someone needs to make an image ou...

Song Fight! Style Guide
This thread could be a place where the Fightmasters lay out a style guide with information about how the logo works, the official Song Fight! colors/fonts/etc. Here are some bits of info from Spud in another thread: [logo color]... Should be C60000 If you study the original logo, you will see that t...

Re: Embedding Music on a Blog
Good point about right aligning the times. I will do that for sure. I don't really feel like doing much more with this though, frankly. I copied Bandcamp's player, and if it's good enough for them then it's good enough for me. But if you (Spud, or jast, or anybody) want to take my HTML and CSS and c...

OK, how about this?
Is "Impact" the right font? It seemed like a pretty good match.

Re: Embedding Music on a Blog
Spud, long titles and artist names currently wrap to additional lines, which pushes the bottom content down so it winds up hidden under the bottom edge of the iframe. My plan was to make it so they just run off to the right on their own lines and whatever goes beyond the right edge of the iframe get...

Re: Embedding Music on a Blog
That's actually pretty cool, if I do say so myself, which I will since it wasn't very difficult.
Looks like the background is transparent. Mind if I make it white? I may in the future make that a configurable option but for now I think I'd prefer it to be white by default.

Re: Embedding Music on a Blog
Would anybody be interested in a player that plays all of an artist's songs? I could imagine people embedding that in their sites or something. It would be really easy for me to do.

Re: Easily Link to Song Fight Wiki Articles
Am I crazy or prejudiced to think that any widely used PHP wiki (or bulletin board for that matter) is going to be a pretty big target for spammers...? Maybe a different solution than MediaWiki might be less likely to get spam, something that has a smaller userbase and therefore is less valuable as ...
