Re: Documenting the optional challenge

Yes, that's legit. That was for a set of titles that went up together which were call backs to titles from the very early days, and in those early fights those were the requirements for the mp3s. For example:

No changes that i know of, though, I don't honestly really "admin" the boards at the level of maintaining/updating the PHPBB software.

Very marginally late entries from Cavedwellers and Mandibles have been added to the fight.

Maybe leverage open strings, and just put one finger down, third fret on the A string?

A nerdy video about electronic music drum programming

This 13' video might be informative and helpful for some folks who are brand new to programming. It is focused on electronic music but you could re-purpose some/all of it for other genres.

But maybe ignore his wonky circular notation. What a nerd!

Goodbye Kenny Rogers

Kenny Rogers passed away in his sleep at 81. Erin loves Kenny and spent all morning reading about him and listening to his music and watching videos on YouTube. This afternoon we learned a song of his that she picked.

Re: Pick a cheek (Kissing Contest Reviews)

I actually sold my big monitors and downsized my setup. IMO a decent pair of mixing/studio headphones (<$200) is plenty good enough for Song Fight for me. I did wind up getting some of the smaller desktop monitors but I don't have them set up that great so I just use them for the broad strokes when ...

Re: Pick a cheek (Kissing Contest Reviews)

Adnama17 : I like the drum start. The buzz on that guitar is kinda painful. Assuming this is not recorded live, you could try out playing the same guitar part onto two tracks and panning one left, one right. That will give things a more rocking sound. Your bass is too quiet I think. I really like t...

Restaurants on the Edge - Netflix

I wanted to hate this show. Why would I care about some rich dumb people who can't run successful restaurants in some of the most beautiful heavily tourist trafficked places in the world?! Plus the hosts are super annoying. But darned if it isn't a still pretty genius mix of cooking show, travel sho...

Re: Sound On Sound article about automated mastering services

CloundBounce at least offers pay-per-song, although at $5/song, somebody with an EP or an album might be better off signing up for one month of their $20/month subscription level.
