Thank you! I was pretty happy with it.
I am also happy with it. And not just because you breathed life into my silly sitcom musings. It's gorgeous.

Re: Do you realize there are (Something's Wrong Reviews)

So look apart from one day of glorious rehearsals with my old band this month has been pretty bloody awful and doesn't look to be improving so I haven't much to say about songs but these entries. Apologies to those not mentioned, it's not you it's me. Crumpet - this is too close to home. I'll see yo...

Re: Your favorite music podcast?

I actually find that it’s easier to get into backstories about people/bands I’m not so interested in - something about less opportunity to be disappointed perhaps? Similarly, I found the Metallica film (?some kind of monster?) really fascinating, but have no interest in their music, and I watched th...

Re: Drinking from (The Dregs prefight)

‘The Dregs’ sounds like an 80’s sitcom set in post-apocalyptic middle class America.

Re: I don't care about your (Checkered Past Reviews)

gizo vs. the 17,455 : Pretty happy that you entered this week, because this is my favourite song of the fight. I danced to it in the kitchen with the dog this afternoon. I particularly like the bit where you sing "U-turn", and I expect the verse to keep going but it doesn't. It's real good; I like ...

Re: My Life

Well, good news is I like that genre way better! Thank goodness! The band is 'The Steinbecks', if you're interested. I was playing along between 2002-2007 roughly. Hmmm..I don't recall you guys unfortunately. Did you play in Sydney? 2002-2005 I was a regular around the Surrey Hills/Newton dens of i...

I’d love to hear a Steinbecks take on death metal. Were you playing upside down bass that whole time back then? Bass or guitar, d...

Re: My Life

I believe in you! I hope it wasn't like technical death metal or anything, relearning those may be hard. Ha. Technical death metal! More like Jangle-pop. Re: My Life

I've been asked to play guitar and bass in my old band's 25th Anniversary / singer's 50th Birthday party gig thing.

This is exciting, except I have to remember/relearn how to play a bunch of songs I haven't played for 12 years, upside down.

Wish me luck, eh?

Re: Cooking

Lol!! There seemed to be a fashion for eating roo years ago - I really couldn’t get into it. I assume you are posting from the US? It is weird to think it is being exported. What is that Australian themed restaurant chain in the US? So they serve too? Nah, I'm just down in Melbourne. Our local supe...

Re: Cooking

Yesterday I grilled some salt & peppered Kangaroo fillets, sliced 'em up, and served them on a nice fresh garden salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing. It was simple and delicious. No it wasn’t you tosser.!! You just ate roadkill Roo tastes like shit. It is tough as buggery and just a waste of tim...

Re: I don't care about your (Checkered Past Reviews)

That uncomfortable feeling was exactly what I was trying to dig into in the lyrics, a lot of ambiguity/guilt/shame around what I think from an outsider's perspective should probably really be a pretty straightforward condemnation of the adult man in the story and not really a checkered past at all ...

Re: I don't care about your (Checkered Past Reviews)

Here we go. I wrote some reviews. They may be brief and baffling, but hopefully not hurtful. rvwx - Checkered Past Some really good and interesting stuff here, and some great takes on the title. Altogether too many past/last/fast rhymes for my liking though. Brown Word and the Big Whine : I don't un...

Is on our list to watch with the kids this month. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Taika Waititi is a gorgeous and delightful genius. If you haven't already, be sure to go find 'What We Do In The Shadows', and
'Hunt For The Wilderpeople'.

Re: Listen Carefully... (The Password Is ______ Reviews)

gizo vs. the 17,455 : I really like the melody of this song, but it doesn't seem fully developed yet! I would like to see it expanded on just a bit. Nice performances, it all feels clean and the lyrics work well with the tune. I don't have any particular complaints on the production (vox maybe a bi...

Re: I don't like to talk about my (Checkered Past prefight)

I know it's late already but I just pulled a gizo and recorded my vocals on the side of the road. I won't let holiday company prevent me from getting this in!!! Huzzah! If there's one thing I want to be remembered for, it's singing about pain in the car on the side of the road in an affluent suburb.
