I've always wanted to do NaNoWriMo in November and then make a concept album based on the book the following February.

Re: Flame On! (Flamethrower Reviews)

Chtonic Doom - Man this is great. I particularly enjoy where it really kicks in around the minute mark. My only complaint is that I want the drum samples to have more OOMPH. Re: Tom Petty Coverfight

Man. Always sad to hear about a music icon passing, but this one hit me harder than most. I'm going through a really tough time right now personally and Mr. Petty's music really resonates right now. Rest in peace, Tom. A friend and I did a cover of "Stop Draggin My Heard Around" just after...

Containing 163 vacuum tubes and over 1,000 custom capacitors, the Novachord weighed nearly 500 pounds and was roughly the size of two spinet pianos.

Oooo, excited for this.

The kids (9 and 11) are already bantering around zany 9- and 11-year-old ideas. Apologies for any excessive zaniness that may result.

If I had been thinking I would have entered a sawtooth-heavy buzzy synth number as The Tragically Hip Replacements.

But thinking is not my strong suit.

Re: Circle of Titles VII

I feel bad signing up for this as I stiffed in the last one of these I entered (I will finish that one, someday, I swear, for reals, really, truly, no joke), but the kids have expressed some interest in music making and have stated their desire to participate. We are in.

Congrats JB!

Bay area is easy, but New York would be more fun to visit. Hmm. I'll have to think about it.

I agree with Glennny, socal would be hella cool.

Re: How to metal?

There's a great interview in this month's TapeOp with Mike Shipley, engineer on those huge 80's Def Leppard albums.
