Re: JG MySpace Page
Yes. Since they haven't logged in since 2006, I have little hope. However, I think it just might be SongFight forum member Gazelles, who seems to be from Rochester and last posted on this board in 2006. Does anyone know how to contact Gazelles?

JG MySpace Page
Hello all. It appears that back in 2006 someone made a fan page for my music with the URL http://www.myspace.com/jutegyte . I assume it's a Songfighter. While I appreciate the support, the page has very old music and isn't at all representative of what I'm doing now. It is also using the best, most ...

Another long-overdue batch: http://www.jeshimoth.com/images/covers/ghost_sickness_large.jpg Jute Gyte - Ghost Sickness Lush and desolate ambient synth explorations combining vintage Warp Records-esque meditations, Mellotron-heavy Burzumic gloom, violent electronic outbursts, and an overwhelming sens...

Re: New Pumpkin Buzzard and Jute Gyte albums
Glad to hear it! Everybody's Unconscious should have been released sooner, but we ran into some printing issues in addition to our usual no-money issues. It shouldn't be much longer. When you get MA and EU, you could reverse EU's tracklist and listen to it followed by MA for the ultimate 2.5-hour ac...

Digital is now active. Thanks for the help, guys. Bumping this to post about CD Baby's stats for 2008: http://cdbaby.org/stories/09/01/15/8158752.html Some interesting info here, with the most interesting part being perhaps this: "In total, CD Baby paid out over $34 million to artists in 2008 a...

Hoblit, that method simply doesn't work on this computer, for reasons about which HeuristicsInc hypothesized above. I think Audacity might be the ticket here, though. Thanks for the help, guys!

Recording audio from your computer
Can someone tell me how to record audio that is playing on my computer? It seems bizarrely difficult to accomplish, and my first instinct is to distrust the programs that come up during a Google search.

Re: CD Baby experiences
Sorry for the bump. Could any of you fellows tell me how long it usually takes for digital distribution to become active? Pumpkin Buzzard has an album up now here (please buy many many copies), but it's been several weeks without any news on digital distribution.

Re: CD Baby experiences
Our CD Baby experience has been excellent. Not that we have sold much, but what do you expect? Our appeal is limited. $90.28 in CD sales over the years $52.02 in Digital distribution http://cdbaby.com/group/mightyoctothorpe SPUD So over how many years is that? We're working on putting Pumpkin Buzza...

CD Baby experiences
I'd like to hear some opinions on/informative anecdotes about CD Baby from people who have experience with it. Do you consider it worthwhile? How many albums, if any, have you sold? What about digital distribution? etc etc etc. Any helpful information would be appreciated.

Re: The Slip
Really nice stuff. A lot of it sounds like Broken via Year Zero. I'm really pleased at how things have been going with Nine Inch Nails lately, though I'd like more of the extended near-prog structuring and layering of The Downward Spiral on this new stuff. I can hardly complain, though.

Re: Currently Playing ...
And I have no idea what the soundtrack was like. It had some weird sound card detection thing, where it was attempting to detect certain soundcards from around 13 years ago, and not just the sound device installed on the computer. So, basically, I played without any sounds. You sound like a man in ...

Re: No Country For Old Men
Has anyone read the book? I typically don't like to read a book that's been made into a movie if I see the movie first, but I'm curious as to how faithful they are to each other. I did read Cormac McCarthy's The Road last year, and it was fantastic. Think I'll give the movie another play though, es...
