Grilled cheese? Quesadilla? Are these permissible?
I don't know. And this is what makes me uncomfortable . As a middle age angry man in Toowomba, I probably should not have a say in the correct way to melt cheese.

I think every one should just fuck off

Re: Cooking

Pine nuts are right up there with goat cheese as being fucking disgusting. (I know, I know, the rest of you love these things. They taste like death in my mouth.) I once had a meal in New Plymouth, New Zealand that had pine nuts in it. I became violently ill - I don't know why - but it is unlikely ...

Bring it all out

I love pine nuts and goats cheese.

But yes. We need to know what disgusts people.

Re: Ye olde songfight?

OK. Tomorrows job is to knock up a version of "Streets of Forbes" (traditional song describing events from 1865 - no one really knows when it was actually written). If anyone knows it and wants to join in - jump in and let me know.

Re: Cooking

Yeah!!! thats the stuff Fluffy!! Looks awesome.

And no melted cheese nor extraneous sour dairy products.

Proper food!!

I'd suggest a touch of toasted pine nut may not be unwelcome in that?

Pizza. Ok yes - melted cheese is allowed on pizza.

I’ve been making my own mozzarella. That’s fun.

It is kind of greasy feeling. I don't really like it and always substitute Greek yoghourt instead.
Exactly. It is simply wrong. Yoghurt is right. Simple as that.
And cheese is for eating with wine. Not melting on food.

Re: Modern democracy (was: COVID-19 freakout thread)

I think you make a very valid point that the office of the president has too much power. And whether our constitution permits it or not does not change the fact that it has not restrained it. But I am curious. Do you have a list of things this president has accomplished (and not just said) that you...

Re: Modern democracy (was: COVID-19 freakout thread)

An interesting read on constitutional law and Australian Indigenous rights. Australia’s Constitutional Answer To Structural Racism The researcher who wrote this, Dr Shireen Morris, is an amazing woman who ran for Labor in my seat at the last election. Unfortunately she was defeated by this shitcunt...

Re: Song Fight! Live 2020 Berkeley CANCELLED

So here's kind of a nutty idea/compromise. Song Fight! "Kind of Live" 2020. Anyone who wants to participate submits a video of say 20 minutes or less of them doing a live performance of their "set" to someone (say Sam). Sam collects all the videos and uploads them to a dedicated YouTube channel for...

I used to be pretty harsh with reviews. I recall one of you first reviews for me when I first started here. You wrote (something along the lines of) “ there is absolutely nothing I can find to like about this”. That sounds pretty accurate. And look at you now! You're a Nur Ein champion! But serious...

You need a new Fender Caravan Ray. It will fix everything.
Yeah yeah. They said the same thing about snorting cocaine off the back of a thousand dollar hooker.... and they were right.

I better buy a new Fender.

Re: flabby, farty bass (and mix balance in general)

I think that plain bass sound is totally fine. The plugin sound also seems fine. You may want to work more on muting the strings that you're not actually playing. You can do this by muting them with either or both hands. I hear a fair amount of open strings vibrating/ringing when they're not being ...

Re: flabby, farty bass (and mix balance in general)

Most of what needs to be said has been said. Even the cheapest Yamaha bass is a reasonable-quality product, and there's nothing wrong with the one you have. This makes me slightly sad. I was slightly hoping Lunkhead or Paco would say "no...you need a new Fender...that will fix everything". I am not...

Re: Song Fight! Is 20 Years Old!!!

Real life good friends love to rip on each other (in a hopefully funny way) not flatter each other. I generally think that too but for a while now I have started to think that may be a generational thing, and the whole "tearing you down to toughen you up" vibe I had/have with my siblings/friends wa...
