Re: Nur Ein IV: What Once Was Grand

What Once Was Grand by Nouveau Pauvre Tonight I fell asleep inside the moon My dreams echoed in spirals round my head Perhaps I fell to Earth again too soon For fear that I might never leave my bed What strange and bitter taste left on my tongue The truth I know I can't control the stars Betrayal wo...

I don't know how big they are. I also can't tell the difference between deathmetal and grind and math enough to describe them:

Re: Monday, May 18th, 2009

DRC: I have a Nur Ein hangover today. My entry seemed like such a good idea last night, but in the sobriety of this morning I pretty much regret it ever happened. QotD: Famous only in deathmetal/grindcore circles probably. One of my college friends is signed to Metal Blade and you can buy his signat...

Re: Nur Ein IV: Round Three

So... I see we've reached the time when every single tune is a "This should definitely pass" entry, yes? Wreckdom: Even better than Sleep Tight! Signboy: wow, I am way out of my league here. PacoDB: wait, girls have levers? Ross: the Boom Snap Claps are freakin' gold. Tiny Robots: Everythi...

Re: Nur Ein IV: Round Three

Much to his shangrin, the hubby will be my special guest star this week. The real challenge for us will be "must rap in your song... which should not sound even remotely similar to "West End Girls". "

Re: May 6th, 2009

QotD: CHack's Fight the Sea was awesome because I got to record my tracks in person at his place, watching the genius at work. Jim of Seattle wrote a big chunk of Henrietta's MoonShine, and he easily raised the whole tune twenty levels of goodness. Then I wrote a mediocre-at-best "Come Down Whe...

Re: Nur Ein IV: Round Two

I'm still alives....? Thanks, its alright the first few weeks were fun and hopefully we'll be back next year. I should probably use this time to make the move from GarageBand to Logic. Re: May 4, 2009

DRC- The good: Scott bought me a tennis racquet yesterday, and I'm excited to learn how to play. The bad: I'm not looking forward to getting kicked off the Isle of Nur Ein this week. The ugly: I don't really care for my Suze Orman haircut. Grow, hair, grow! QotD: Elaine and Erin. We could ditch that...

Re: Nur Ein IV: Round Two

I've got one foot in the door! One verse and one chorus submitted. I only had two hours, but I'd be disappointed with myself if I didn't try at all.... I doubt I'll make the cut with this, but losing by losing will be a much more honorable death than just giving up. I hope?

Edit: Please forgive me.

Re: Friday, 1st May, 2009

I take the bus about 3 days a week, which isn't nearly as ire-raising or potty-mouth-inducing as driving in rush hour traffic. My bus-tainment right now is an audiobook of Terry Pratchett's Going Postal. Glenn Case's recent podcasts are on deck.

Mostly for texture, like from cotton to burlap.
