Re: Are you in a fog about the next fight?

Wrote the lyrics on the bus home from Troy. Recorded the song when I got home, while doing the laundry. Start to finish ~4 hours. More minimal than planned, but I couldn't figure out what chords to play.

Re: Better use lube (In the Tank reviews)

Again, thanks for comments! I'm glad some people actually seem to like this one. It was a bit of a departure for me, at least melody-wise. The buzzing sound is a Stylophone. The tinkly sound is a toy piano again. And the chirpy electronics are a Thingamagoop. Hoping to include more electronic toys, ...

Re: Chill out, already (Everybody Calm Down reviews)

Mea culpa. I am boring. Time for a new melody.

In other news, I am very happy for a new R. Mosquito entry. This one is great. And I Wish I Was So Sure is one of my favorite songs. I listen to it all the time.

Also, the Jonathan Mann/Berkeley Social Scene track is great.

Re: Ancient Chinese Curse (Interesting Times reviews)

Thanks once again for the reviews. I'll cop to boring & try to fix it. But I'm sticking with pretty. Anyway, sorry about tuning. Did the best I could. I think the ukulele was in tune. The drone is a Magnus Chord Organ, and there's no tuning it. Guess I haven't nailed the Nico shtick yet. I agree...

Re: Let Me Take You Down, Because I'm Going to (Calico Alley)

The Hand Formula - Very after midnight sounding with the quiet vocal and all. What's with the Penny Lane again? Every tune? I like the "some cats get" verse, even if no idea what it's actually about. Mackerel can be a funny word as well. The melody is cute and works well for the duration ...

Penny Lane &c.

Apologies again for sound quality. I am a moron with the machines. And sorry I sound bored. Songs recorded at 3am, after hours of drafting memos & briefs. Maybe I'm just boring. But I will try to perk up! Incidentally, Penny Lane is my girlfriend's name. First 10 songs for Penny. But I'm moving ...

Cryptic Catastrophe

Another entry. This one is pretty weak. No progress on the recording quality. And I recorded it at my g-friend's house at 1am. With nothing to play but a melodica. So be gentle, please! It is three in a row...

Advices?

Hello & thanks for all the interesting comments, this week & last & awhile back too. I am finding the recording bit rather challenging. Can anyone recommend a good instructional book? I am puzzled & scratching my head. PS I totally dig Adam Adamant & The Cutie Pies. First reminds...

Re: I'm crushing your head (A Problem of Perspective Reviews)

I like the reality respond song very much. I would buy that record.

For the person who asked, I used ukulele, toy piano & jew harp.

Re: I'm crushing your head (A Problem of Perspective Reviews)

Thanks for comments. This is the first song I've ever recorded. Hopefully, improvements are likely. I know sound quality is poor. Unfortunately, my only mic was the internal one on the laptop. Off to the store.
