Re: Guitar Collections
I OCR’d and TTS’d the pdf if you care to listen to a cloned JB for 30 minutes: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/kzgrg2lpsjj0gfbjwf679/GuitarHeroes.mp3?rlkey=sqt0k1jr5ru6d7l62h7hxar5s&st=a8f90brn&dl=0 GUITAR HEROES The duo that collected a secret trove of instruments heading to the Met. BY NICK...

Re: Rest In Peace
I loved her songwriting. She was a huge influence on me, one of the people who taught me through her example how lyrics could be so much more than what you see on the surface. Her song “Barren an Egg” is just one example of her amazing artistry and craft, and I have shared her song “Heroes” with so ...

You’re supposed to get COVID *after* the show, like the rest of us. Otherwise it’s just poor planning.Jerkatorium wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 8:58 pmAny combination of dates work great for me, I'll attend no matter what.
Well, almost no matter what. I'm out if I f@#%king get COVID again that week, but short of that I'm definitely in.

Re: Happy 2025!
Good news everyone! The official JB moratorium on Classic Rock has been extended for yet another year! You know how people when they quit eating meat say they have this invigorated feeling and more energy and whatnot? That’s me with classic rock. And you know how ppl (like me) are all like “bullshit...

Re: Song FIght Fight Player Thing Added
Can Chromebooks open a new window? (I am not familiar with the OS other than that it's all focused on Chrome) If it can't, then it makes sense-- the review tool is a javascript layer in the current window, but the player is a new window of your browser. I could potentially have it open a new tab for...

Song FIght Fight Player Thing Added
At the top of the page you can now click "Open SongFight Player". Doing so will unleash a little window that lets you play the fight. You can also do like, Previous and Next. If you're in Chrome, and you let songfight.net popup windows, then the player will stay on top of all your windows....

Berkeley Social Scene : Dunno about the resolution to that chorus chord prog... and I am undecided about the phase effect on the vocal in that chorus. I am just a ball of questions. Chumpy : Needs a shaker. EDGE STREET BOYZ : I do not like this poem. Grace Falls : 30 minutes, a bunch of Logic Studi...

Re: Past Song Fighter State Shirt releases world's smallest pedal
They seem to indicate it's a Tubescreamer clone, but the audio samples sound way better to me than a TS. It feels to me like in practice you'd want this mounted on your guitar and maybe always on or there as basically an additional set of tone knobs-- hey there's an idea--- mod this little guy direc...

Hello everyone, I've converted the new Review Tool into a phpbb extension, and added a button to the top of the page. So you no longer need to add a bookmarklet to your browser, you should just be able to click "Review this Week's Fight!" at the top and the tool will open. As you browse th...

Sorry, didn't mean to be a wet blanket guys; it might not bother anyone else and just be a "me" thing, I'm never sure; just trying to provide hopefully helpful 3rd party feedback/insight/opinions. Your feedback is welcome, Siebass. If you didn't tell us it bugged you we would have thought...

Re: Gonna be one hell of a ride (Please Buckle Up reviews)
The vocal effect heads and tails are really taking me out of the song with the choking sounds. It’s like Daft Punk is getting strangled on stage; I think would likely clean up with trimming the heads and tails of the vocal in the spaces between the sung parts or possibly with a noise gate; Yeah I a...

Re: Gonna be one hell of a ride (Please Buckle Up reviews)
This is all on me, as Mo has been waiting for me to deliver wavs to mastering for months and months. Yaks of Industry Love this. Sounds like I stumbled on an old cassette album recorded on a Tascam Porta One and its triggering some serious deja vu for me. I'm stuck in a time warp waiting for a promi...

Re: A Discussion regarding the change in song lyrics
I think that article kind of skips over the socioeconomic driver of "negativity" in lyrics, even though it trots out the old faithful "Cop Killer" and "Today Was a Good Day" examples. It's a lot more important to think about who was making the music and who the audience...

Re: Gonna be one hell of a ride (Please Buckle Up reviews)
Berkeley Social Scene : Kinda sorta makes me feel like I'm hearing an outtake from a 70's session. The hard-panned guitars are too loud, IMO. Everything is kinda separate, dunno if it's gelling. I like the "Buckle Up!" hook. And then when "Let's make a promise" starts it gets ab...
